Bots work by learning from human posts. Bot posts will continue to dilute human posts, and eventually reach a critical mass where bots are learning more from other bots than humans, at which point they will degrade in quality. The negative feedback loop will cripple linguistic machine learning, and datasets of untainted human discussions will become incredibly valuable.

Put simply: bots will get worse, the internet will get worse, and eventually bots wont pass for humans anymore. It will eventually cost a lot of money to keep shill bots running.

I like how he uses a google site to talk about how google is fake

As for the dead links, its because people spent a fuk ton of resources on making their own chitty sites for everything back in the day. Then platforms came along, which made it more convenient and better to just use those instead of maintaining some chitty outdated site, hence why a lot of urls don't work. In addition you have to pay yearly fees for both the domain name and hosting, and eventually most site owners just pull the plug on the sites as they lead to nowhere

Bots where?

The worlds most used internet site is tiktok, which is nothing but videos people put out themselves. Otherwise ******** has taken over most forums where its for the most part real users. There is a handful of online forums without anonymous identities, and misc being one of them I'm pretty sure this forum was top 10 at one point even though its dead as fuk now

We went from tens of thousands of micro communities on forums to a few social media giants that are dilluted with bot accounts. You really have to go out of your way to be part of a community online these days it seems

This certainly applies to a large degree to mainstream social media sites and such, but not to more obscure places (like this one).

Also a lot of "bots" are just NPCs who can be programmed like any bot to say what they're supposed to say, but with better grammatical structure.

Yup. They corralled the entire internet, the. flooded it with bots to keep discussion at smoothbrains a levels and distract everyone.

That’s why I love Gab. I’ve had deeper more meaningful conversations with people on there than I have online in like 10 years srs.

Soo much information admins knowledge being shared, its incredible.

Really opens your eyes as to just how insanely far they’ve watered down the internet.

Just watched.

10/10 video

The internet sucks now. The Misc and message boards like it are the last places left that resonate the "old internet" vibe.

That said, even the Misc is not the same as it used to be.

Honestly, the days of a real, human connected internet experience is over. Today's internet is basically anti-human, anti-user. It's all about controlling people, not giving them better connections or access to information.

honestly, i'm prob not gonna articulate this well. i can't remember which company i was more surprised about

but.. i was surprised to learn about all the underwater cable. it's like they quickly acted to do something like that.

the internet revolution is similar to industrialization imo. you were very lucky to be a certain age and to get into the groundfloor of this emerging tech. because society starts indoctrinating it but its the beginning of a transition stage so it's not like there's a need for new tech. so, there's a preoccupation with this transition that takes up a lot of time

so for instance, you can't establish a new internet while the rest of the world is already trying to transition to the first internet

and people born in the 90's prob weren't old enough to usurp it. people in the 80's and before were. if you were less than 10 years old in the 90's you were too late

NOT that you can't make money, but as aforementioned underwater cable elucidated; they were well on their way to establish the framework from which society operated. once you're 18 and amazon has 200 billion under it's belt, there's nothing you can do. they can quash you or anything you try to do

we've come close to monopolies and those people that age were lucky just like in the industrial revolution. become too big and you can hamper anybody from doing anything

again, i was surprised to learn just how quickly some of the companies like ********, amazon, twitter, google established underwater cable for widespread internet
