Reviews:

A parody game that's better then the actual game.

unironically better than battlefield

Performance problems. Goes down from +500 fps to 20fps.
I turned every graphics option to the lowest settings.
Running 5600x, 3060 12gb, 32gb DDR4.
Still better than Battlefield 2042.

BF2 was a piece of chit by comparison fun-wise. I remember playing Desert Combat while everyone switched over to BF2. BF2 was cool but ultimately boring to play.

Desert Combat also had Capture the Flag which was the funnest chit I've played in any Battlefield game. I don't know why they haven't ever added that to any game since then. There is something epic af as about having CTF with vehicles, planes, helis etc. Been loving the CTF in Halo Infinite Big Team Battle.

This is the real Chad Battlefield hierarchy in terms of pure fun:

BF1942: Desert Combat (mod) > BF2142 > Bad Company 2 > BF3 = BF4 > BF1 > BFV = BF Vietnam = BF2 = BF1942 > Battlefield Hardline >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BF2042 (only Battlefield game I've ever played that I uninstalled in a few hours because it was so chit)

Who was BF2 wake island, dragon valley, strike at karkand. BF2 was the superior game at the time for anyone who joined a clan or had friends to play with. If you played alone with strangers then the game would have sucked.

i've bought the last 4 BF games until this one. i'm in the minority, but i enjoy the SP campaigns. EA can get fukked. DICE won't be alive for much longer.

Battlefield 2042 was supposed to be the s***. It was supposed to be the best Battlefield to date, it was supposed to overshadow all other Battlefield games, and it did absolutely none of those things. It, right now, is actually one of the worst rated games on Steam. And you know what isn't? Cyberpunk 2077. Because as much as people like to hate on that game, story wise? It's not so bad... if your standards aren't as high.

I learned after bfv that the best way to play bf at launch is to just get a month of ea pass and play on origin. Losing 15 is better then 60.. I guess

There really is no fixing this game.

What no one has seem to brought up, and maybe it's me, but the map design is downright terrible. Big, open, and boring design with tons of truck trailers sitting around for some reason. Map design can make or break your game in most cases. They'd have to redesign all the maps and I'd say remove the operators.
