Tested Negative for (C19) but still sick?

Woke up feeling fine yesterday other than slight throat irritation and minor congestion, advised my supervisor and got sent home due to possible COVID exposure so I immediately got tested

My results came back negative this morning, but when I got home from the hospital yesterday my symptoms got worse. Fatigue set in, I got feverish, and joint ache as well.

I woke up today and it’s just my throat and nose again.

False negative?

People get sick during the winter all the time, long before every sniffle was covid.

Bronchitis and pneumonia is common around this time of year. And together.

If its not covid no one cares. Funny how people had the same exact symptoms during the winter for years due to the seasonal flu, and no one cared. But if its covid everyone freaks out...

Ah yes, the rare but plausible "breakthrough negative test." Don't worry though, the tests are still accurate and effective.

I'm in the same boat. Negative test, but woke up today with a moderate fever (101) and slightly sore throat. Some rest + liquids + tylenol have reduced the fever, but it's weird because I haven't been sick for 2-3 years (sick as in I'm so tired, I don't feel like getting out of bed). People have said omicron is mild, so maybe it's just a 2-3 day affair with this thing and since I'm not fat/live a healthy lifestyle, I've been able to keep the infection under wraps. Not really sure.

Could just be the flu or sinus infection bro.

People are forgetting millions of people got sick/died every winter long before Covid existed.

Yeah, crazy to me if you had a sore throat or whatever 2 years ago you'd be expected to deal with it and work, but now if you have anything it's probably covid and you need to stay at home for a few weeks...

That’s what I read, I felt like death yesterday but the worst of it seems to have passed.

I was actually bed ridden yesterday it was pretty bad, but it seems to have mostly resolved over night.

There are always millions of viruses in us, we all pass them to each other all the time, we are home to countless bacteria, viruses and God knows what else. Strengthen your immune system, and stop getting these retarded pointless tests. I can tell you with 100% certainty that you will test positive or negative for the rest of your life every time you test, and literally not one damn thing will change regardless of your test result or how many times you get some new vaccine, new viruses are always around, and always will be.

There’s usually long lines, and appointments needed to receive COVID tests lately.

As a cop I don’t have to wait to test. They immediately brought me in to test.

You know damn well he went there for a Coof swab and probably flashed his LEO badge to the check-in receptionist for expedition

Fookin 200 people a day come in for swabs just because they sneezed over allergies; ironically exposing themselves to the greatest concentration of sick people in one place

Honestly I don’t care if it’s COVID or not. I just found it weird since the onset on my symptoms were so fast and intense.
