Some of these American miscers are earning 160k +

What would be living a comfortable life in NZL do you think ?

Obviously it depends on where you live and what you consider to be a good lifestyle.

I'd say outside of Auckland, 85k will see you live "comfortably" if not extravagantly. 100k would be a "good" salary

In Auckland 100k minimum to live "comfortably", 125k is a "good" salary

If you are raising kids or have living expenses on the higher end then more, but If you are pretty good with money and not super wasteful you will get by OK on what I listed

These are our fuel prices (per litre) close to 2/3 of that is tax.

100k wont buy you a house in Auckland m8. Best scenario is a two earner household making 80k + each with no debt, and kiwisaver to tap for the deposit.

Especially if you live outside a major center or have friends in the countryside.

Brb help my m8 with his fencing, next minute a box of beer and half a sheep in my freezer.

My buddies a mechanic and would help me fix the car for a box of beers.

Invite him over for BBQ to say thanks, and the neighbours show up with vegetables from their friends market garden.

I make the connection and their friends will take the extra topsoil for free after I build the new retaining wall.

Brb brb I could go on..
