What's the meaning behind the Bass Pro hat trend

I recently seen a gentleman wearing one earlier which seems to be more common. Do these people actually shop there for outdoor activities or is it just a trend.

How much do they cost now? I got 5 of them for $2 each on sale a couple years ago. Had no idea they were stylish now lol
