Any Dope Travel tips for South America?

Going to take 3-4 weeks off from Mid Feb to mid March to travel around SA a bit with another buddy of mine.

Looking to:

-Eat good food
- Do cool sht
- Chase skirts
- Party

Not looking to :

- learn sht from museums
- go camping
- Tour Breweries

Thinking of hitting Buenos Aires first, then Colombia second, and finishing in Costa Rica.

I was thinking of just booking the one-way to Buenos Aires, and booking flights as I go, that way if I'm having a good time in one country I'm not forced to leave.


Anyone have a good travel tips for SA, must hit spots, or hidden gems?

Specifically Argentina

I've been living in Colombia for 5 years now. For hot girls and partying it's great if you're in the right city. Plenty of cool chit to do, but it's definitely not well known for the food.

Lol, go to Brazil, best place in SA. Rio is breathtaking on all fronts - girls, sights, landscape, food, etc.

Wouldn’t waste my time with the other poverty countries

Tip is to learn some basic Portuguese there tho, minimal English compared to Mexico

Medellin is definitely the best but it's also where I spent most of my time. I had a blast in Cali as well. The coast is quite overrated but if you wanna do jungle hikes and stuff it'd be recommended too.

Not true. I've witnessed 4 robberies/attempts in my years here and only one of them would've been avoidable by not being a dumbass. My buddy brought back two drunk sloots (who turned out to be trannies but he claims he didn't know) back to my place and they took some chit from the house at 4am and left. Two were out on the streets and one was in the forest during a hike. Can't say the last three happened because of being a dumbass. It's legit more dangerous here than in most first world places.

My personal experience is that it's actually safer outside of the cities and the people are a lot more friendly there. Also I've never had safety issues traveling by bus and haven't heard anything from friends either.

all ill say is i road on a bus in the dominican republic and oh my god bro those dudes are wild

weaving in and out of traffic while excessively speeding, etc. my butthole was puckered up the entire time lol

20 years ago I went there and almost drove off the mountain several times. You didn’t know if you were going to live or not. People outside of the city didn’t speak a lick of English and while friendly, there were guns everywhere being it was worse in the drug trade then.

Of the traffic is and driving style is insane for sure. I thought you were referring to danger from getting robbed by paramilitary groups or some chit. But the traffic in the city is quite crazy as well.

Violence wise it's definitely not comparable to 20+ years ago. Driving style yeah, they speed through blind corners and pass other cars on the other lane against traffic. Motorcycles just criss cross through all the cars as well.
