Beggar begging for bus fare caught with $700.000 in his pockets

A beggar who claimed he was raising money for bus fare was reportedly found with more than £500,000 stuffed in his pockets.

The 55-year-old was arrested in Uppsala, Sweden when detectives were called to him threatening people who did not hand him cash.

When he was searched officers found he had six million krona (£540,000) on him, reports The Times .

He was arrested on suspicion of money laundering but it is still not clear how he came in possession of the money.

The chief of police Jale Poljarevius told local journalists that "bundles of cash kept coming" as detectives emptied his pockets.

To be fair $700 is barely enough for a decent meal in Biden's economy

If we had universal food stamps and shelter/rent/property tax voucher, $150 each, no beggars would be able to get sympathy from anyone.

Well, this one wants bus money. They find something.

He is a robber, not a beggar.

Also, hopefully they confiscated his robber proceeds and did not let him spend it on legal defense.
