He led a peaceful movement for Blacks to have equal rights. He was a Baptist Minister from the South, I'm a Baptist and in the south the services I've attended can go 4 hours.

He was largely a peacekeeper, he negotiated stuff like a garbage contract in Memphis where all the Garbageman were black and paid hardly anything for dangerous, nasty work.

He played by the white Man's rules and got shot in the throat by a white Man.

Kind of a neverending story in this country.

He was a great man who fought for the civil rights of African Americans at great personal cost.. As great a country as we are, we would be even better if we took his message completely to heart. We usually follow fake heros. He, was the real deal.

I agree to a point. That last part is ridiculous.

His message was great. The problem is most blacks don’t follow it. The blacks alive today and millions before have had ample opportunity here and yet are still blaming whites for their own actions as a group. Much like that last sentence of yours. At some point blacks need to quit acting like animals and children (not all) and then they’ll actually earn respect for their group as a member of society. There’s a reason black stereotypes exist in every single country, and it’s not because some white people had them as slaves for a short period of time 150+ yrs ago in the US. He was one individual black like many of them that wanted better for his people, the problem is there’s way less of those than there are thug wannabe numbskulls. That ratio has to change at some point before perception does. You can’t force it like liberals are trying to do now. Pretty sure MLK wouldn’t be on board with taking it easy on criminals because of skin color. That kind’ve chit only causes more separation.
