I was with a group of 9 people yesterday including me

3 of us purebloods, and 6 jabbies

4 of the 6 jabbies were sick, and us 3 purebloods were all fine

Trust and/or understanding of science and medicine has definitely taken many steps backwards over the course of the pandemic, mostly due to governments and politicians. But, it seems like those steps backwards have mostly happened in some segments of societies and not within medical and scientific communities. However, there is a lot of work for us to do going forwards and hopefully we learn some lessons in translational communication.
And the surrogate end point of stopping covid wasn't even close to being achieved.

I continue to find it fascinating that so many people consider death the only metric worth considering. Given the prevalence of long covid and autoimmune problems we're seeing, it's seems narrow minded to still think anyone who doesn't die is just fine.
