Make sure you add fat to them otherwise you won't get enough nutrition.

Between my dad and I we have about 70lb of frozen deer meat in the freezer. If you live somewhere you can hunt and you have a meat market you can get the animal processed at, I'd recommend doing it.

Haven't paid for beef in months lol.

We have armadillo in our area. They can be surprisingly destructive if they're in a confined area, they're also aggressive diggers. Not necessarily huge animals but holy CHIT are they bulky - First time I heard one come crashing through a bunch of bushes it was a strong wtf moment, those things are just dense (physically).

If meat becomes scarce, beans and lentils are a good source of protein. You can make lentil burgers in a pinch. Not meat, but it works.

Lmao “shortages”

“The works of the roots of the vines, of the trees, must be destroyed to keep up the price, and this is the saddest, bitterest thing of all. Carloads of oranges dumped on the ground. The people came for miles to take the fruit, but this could not be. How would they buy oranges at twenty cents a dozen if they could drive out and pick them up? And men with hoses squirt kerosene on the oranges, and they are angry at the crime, angry at the people who have come to take the fruit. A million people hungry, needing the fruit—and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains.

And the smell of rot fills the country.”

Bunch of phaygut ass chaunceys keep getting tested in record numbers with no symptoms for a bad cold, messing up the supply chains. Because paniccels kept saying for over a month after it was obvious Omicron is very mild that it was still too early to tell.

It's going to take a good while to get things back on track in grocery stores. Supply chains of Asian goods coming into California? Well there's always next year to get those fixed!!

I remember almost two years ago when there was supposed to be a meat shortage due to covid. I also remember it never happening, at least until recently.

inb4 someone replies to this telling me all the stock I found at the store wasn't actually there.

Concentrate production into the hands of mega corporations and place unwavering reliance on supply chains to move the production further and further away from consumption while pricing out any smaller competition from emerging and simultaneously becoming increasingly reliant on globalised supply chain

WHAT COULD GO WRONG

I'm reading that all the shortages are due to the strict Covid mandates which have forced many workers to either leave their jobs on the farms and so no one is there to process the chickens. Stinky mandates!!!
