Question: My child has already had COVID-19, why should they get the vaccine?



brb telling someone who is at 0 risk from Covid to get a vaccine for a virus they've already recovered from, and clearly doesn't prevent spreading of Covid.

This is actually so deplorable and I'm losing respect for so many people from their views on this, even on a subconscious level.

brb my boss got covid but still bragging about getting a booster vaccine shot appointment earlier than expected
brb colleagues worrying about covid despite being healthy young adults
brb one colleague already got covid but still worried about getting reinfected even though he had mild symptoms
brb work considering making boosters compulsary

wtf is wrong with the world? I got double dose vaccinated and I now regret it....

I don't care if adults go out and get vaccinated. May reduce symptoms, may not. May be harmful in the long-run, it may not.

But pushing it on children, with all these uncertainties, who are at no risk of dying from Covid, is insane. People who vaxx their children should be deemed unfit to care for their children.

I have half a dozen or so extended family members like second cousins and what not that are all under 12 years old and brought covid home from their dirty ass elementary school and infected that entire side of the family over xmas. All the kids are unvaccinated and were pretty much fine. Fever first night, some cough. The only person that got it real bad was one of their fathers who, mind you, is a 300 pound manlet chain smoker. They were wondering why it hit him harder than the others......lmao

Most people I know like older boomer types are accepting the vaccine so they can travel again. Honestly, if I were them, I'd do it. I have one life to live, I saved my entire life to be able to do schit post retirement, I can either take a stance and sit in my house grumbling all day or decide fuk it and just get on with my life. Gonna buy the farm in less than 2 decades anyways. Might as well go out with a fuking bang.

Well, it will lower my risk of adverse side effects to zero(though yes I would say the risk is really low even if I got it). But it will also mean I didnโ€™t help perpetuate this insanity, contribute to record profits for these corporations, and embolden govt. officials to continue their push for more power and control. Youโ€™ve done all of those things, and will continue to do so for as long as they tell you to(which will probably be an extremely long time due to the amount of people with your mindset).
