Used to be a BJ's guy seriously thinking about cancelling I never go there anymore. Costco > Bj's

I have never been at Costco crew. I don't think I have a Costco nearby where I live

Just got a costco membership. Went only one time. Wasn't go to go on a Saturday cuz too crowded but figured I may as well get the full costco experience. muh thoughts...

1. Lots of mexican families (or rather large families that look run down)

2. some stuff was decent price but the volume was unbecoming. like the irish butter is cheap but you don't need 5lbs of it either.

3. electronics seem to be a good deal IF you shopped around...that might be the payoff for the membership unless again mexican family

4. seemed like just a lotta junk everywhere to be honest, my local grocer has better cuts of steak and its roughly the same price if you account for not needing 38 pounds of beef. Its kinda like buying an Extra large drink ...yeah you save money but your not gonna finish it and its dumb and wasteful (unless you are a fatso obvsly of which there were many many at costco).

5 might go on a weekday just to see if its any different but honestly really don't care to either way

btw: the famous food court and chickens and whatever looked like absolute garbage....and LOL at the tards standing in line with their uggo wives like they were being given golden tickets to Wonka's.


EDIT: really to sum up the entire place I think the word is 'gluttonous' from the too large both in number and volume families, to the needless family-size everything, to the hordes of people waddling thru the store. If you are a doomsday prepper then sure...but for most sensible people its a laugh.

Best days to go to Costco are Tuesday-Thursday.

I cook my own food. Never buy anything from the food court.

You can also shop online.

And food is not the only reason to go you can literally get all kinds of necessary items there. Best of all is the Rebate check for all your purchases at the end of the year.

Went yesterday to pickup $3/40pk bottled water, 2 monster toilet papers for $15, Tostitos the size of 3 bags for $4, several pounds of chicken breast, prime NY strip that after discount was around $9/lb, some FitCrunch, Honey Nut Cheerios, massive bag of spinach for $4, a dozen eggs and a pair of gray joggers on clearance for $14.

I’m leaving Costco right now. Go out of your way to shop at one. Been there since 9am, having the time of my life.

Seriously used to loath going to resupply at BJs and Supermarkets. Now I plan extra time to see all the awesome deals and new premium food brands!

Costco kind of chitty actually compared to sams club.

Their burgers and meat are overpriced other than chicken and their frozen wings are so small when fried you get no more than two bites, was actually salty about that.

Other than that the milk eggs and yogurt are pretty good but they aren’t that one stop shop they used to be anymore if you are looking for more bang for your buck grocery shopping

Love Costco for the TP, basic canned goods, eggs, Irish butter, meat, cheese, frozen seafood, and organic berries.

My sister has a very large family and they use Costco as their every day grocery store.

I just got home. This Doesn’t even account for everything I got paper towels and tp for my bunghole it’s not all pictured lol

Ive only been with Costco for less than a year, which are your favorite can good brands? Would like to stock up incase of more lockdowns!

If you have instacart you can get groceries from Costco. Also you get a free year of Grubhub with Instacart.


I only want meats, frozen veg, tp, paper towels from Costco, everything else comes from Aldi or Publix

I buy the Kirkland brand organic tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste.

For other veggies I get Del Monte canned corn and canned green beans.

I also pick up a flat of Swanson canned chicken broth in addition to the case of boxed vegetable broth I keep on hand.

I also get their Kirkland canned chicken.
Vienna sausages (I think they’re nasty, but my kids like them here n there). Spam (again my teen loves it and I think it’s nasty lol).

I buy fresh veggies and meat, but always have the above mentioned canned good on hand for when I can’t get fresh.

The protein ones? They taste like Quest bars. It’s a cheaper alternative but they taste like ass. I buy the FitCrunch and RX bars when on sale.

Yeah the protein bars. I like Quest bars, only a select few though. In fact two really, cookie dough (nuked, hnnggg) and white chocolate raspberry.

Hmm the reviews I've read say people really like them.

I just checked that protein powder and it says $42.99. But, I’m in a different state and I’m pretty sure things on line are priced slightly higher than if purchased in store.

I don’t like Quest bars but for people that do, you’ll love them. Much cheaper, same taste.

Wish I could help but I just last year cutout muscle milk, and Any whey or proteins marketed under sport’s nutrition.

I eat a lot of meat where most my protein comes from but I’m strictly plant protein when it comes to powders. I’m attempting to add more plant protein to my diet because it is good at my old age.

Younger though I’d pump up on metric tons of cows milk, meat and wheys.
