modal acoustics in ansys student

god damnit how does it work

the solution output is giving me an error to suppress air viscosity but I've done that in the engineering data and its still not working. WTF.

are there any modal acoustics examples on the internet? It looks like ansys burns everything down to coral people into their $2400 tutorials. Even udemy is slim pickings.

lmao had to delete everything from material except for speed of sound and density. Stupid misleading error.

Which platform do you use (Matlab, Python, R, etc)?

Prefer Matlab but familiar with the others. No idea how they integrate with Ansys as I've used it for about 4 hours in total so far.

I still have flashbacks from a mech eng project using ansys. That chit was total masochism, the pre-processor didn't even have an undo.

I trust there are more engineers here than most forums tbh

udemy had nothing addressing my specific concern or even some sort of ansys acoustics focus. I would have paid for that course. Screw paying ansys $2400 to learn their software before I even know if I like it, which leads us to....

yeah I'm not a mech eng and I am only doing this out of necessity. The ansys system may be one of the most atrocious cad systems I've used. Solidworks is great, fusion 360 is acceptable -- even good at times. Ansys has been very strange. I don't understand why there has to be a different piece of software for every action, or why it requires you to setup a workflow for the software. Just let me create a system and model it for god sakes. Anyways, I trust that there's a reason, perhaps naively.
