Why are people taking the vaccine voluntarily?

I can understand if work or school is forcing you. But why are retired, self-employed, business owners, housewives etc taking the vaccine? They literally have no reason to do so. One of my dad's client took it (hes a small business owner) and now he says hes perpetually tired ever since taking it. Have people lost all sense of critical thinking? Do they not see this vaccine is experimental/untested and big pharma has a horrible track record?

Because propaganda and peer pressure clearly work. It's easy to make an irrational decision when the propaganda makes you fear for your life for 2 yrs straight.

Social discourse isn't even allowed anymore.

people now make most of their decisions based off emotion

the government/big business have been aware for a long time appealing to peoples emotions = win

they did just that

emotional/weak minded/low IQ people fell for it

I got an email from my work today from the chief MD stating that everyone needs to get vaccinated because its PROVEN that the vaccine lowers hospitalizations specifically from omicron by 90% compared to unvaccinated people and that the only way to stop the spread at work is for everyone to get vaccinated

dude can't even keep up with the CDC FFS or hes just refusing to believe anything every other medical professional is saying because it goes against a political agenda

It's herd mentality

Most people are not thinking for themselves as much anymore and often following whatever their closet peers, the msm or whatever social media echo chamber says

how can propaganda even work? Its common knowledge that you have a higher chance of dying while driving than from covid. I lose faith in humanity every day. Who even knows the long term effects of this vaccine? it could even cause cancer down the line.

They don't understand that public health institutions and epidemiology are ripe for institutional capture by pharmaceutical companies and people who find it in their best interest to expand government overreach...most people just think the people of these health institutions are dispassionate scientists rigorously seeking truth when that clearly isn't the case when you have an incentive structure that prevents that.

because MSM said they should get it (pfizer IS a sponsor, after all) and ******** banned any dissenting opinion so it looks as if everyone agrees.

Feels good being the strong that stood up to global peer pressure.

It's made it so much clearer now how millions just stood back and did nothing while millions of jews were being murdered. People really are sheep

I wish I had taken notes as it was occurring looking back. I worked for a hospital when it started, chit got real fast.

But turns out it was a very coordinated effort. Media companies started making more ad revenue, literally had a death ticker every second of every day on CNN. Then tech companies were the first to send people home to WFH, which started a trend in corporate to send people home. Now you have the population isolated and either watching the death ticker all day or they're on their phone. Word started getting out on social media that this isn't as bad as we thought, new information started being released, doctor's were questioning stats and treatment, so then the censorship on social media started. Idk man...i could go on and on. The avg. person is pretty fukin dumb to start, then isolate them and feed them propaganda all day...couldn't have been easier to manipulate people. The majority of people still trust the FDA, govt, CDC, etc. That's what's really sad....You can't just take a look around and see all the fatties and realize the FDA is a failure? And you continue to trust them?

Because most people do things without thinking

At first we were told the vaccine would end COVID, it didn't
Then we were told the vaccine offered almost perfect protection, with VERY RARE breakthrough cases (lol)
Now we are told the vaccine prevents you from getting severe COVID, but doesn't prevent infection
Now we are also told that you have to get a booster every 3-6 months

Imagine blindly getting a shot that doesn't work for a disease with a 99.99% survival rate. Imagine letting a disease with a 99.99% survival rate destroy the world. Imaging voting for Joe Biden to fix this whole mess.

Can't expect any less from the world we live in.

Fear, self-righteousness, conformity, survival and/or comfort.

- People smarter than me told me I'll die if I get COVID, and I'm scared of dying. But people smarter than me also told me if I get vaccinated I'll be saved, so I'm getting vaccinated

- I'm a hero for getting vaccinated; I'm making the conscious decision to protect myself and everyone around me from dying from COVID, so I'm virtuous and true. I'm also intelligent and altruistic, unlike the dumb and selfish anti-vaxers

- Everyone else is getting vaccinated, and everyone else agrees that you need to do it or you're a problem. I don't want to be a problem, I don't want to be alienated or ridiculed by my peers, so I'll get vaccinated

- I don't care enough to have a solid stance, but I need to vaccinated to work, and have no money to survive without doing so, so I will get vaccinated. I also don't want to be barred from my favorite places

And you make that assertion in the last sentence of your post on what grounds?

And isn't blindly listening to your doctor akin to deferring to authority? So you imply that linking the cause with sheepish behavior is bs yet in the same sentence you say most people are 'taking advice'. I.e deferring to a specific narrative even when reasonable dissenting voices do exist.

If anything is cringe worthy t's not the people you criticize. If you want to find something that is I suggest looking in the mirror.

Ok so you haven't heard similar arguments...why is your experience more representative of what people think than his? I've heard similar types of arguments.

And since when did trained psychologists have a monopoly on making any valuable contributions or observations about human behavior?

Yeah if everyone takes it, which isn't going to happen.

So you won't then? You never have taken a doctors advice? Or listened to your mechanic? Or called a repair man and have him fix something lmao? While it is a personal anecdote I know someone who was just like ya'll. If you get covid and crash, you're going to end up in the ER and I would bet my life you will let them inject/pump you with all kinds of things if it means they might save you. Just like millions do with other treatments.

You also are pretty cringe worthy btw.

But next time a shop tells me my tires are bald and I need them replaced I'll make sure I let them know I will not defer to a specific narrative even when "reasonable" dissenting voices do exist.

I own a business and deal with more people in 1 month than I'd imagine you do in 5 years. Create strawmen all you want makes sense since you're on equal footing with them.

so now vaxxed people demand that everybody has to get vaxxed to cope with their poor decision. it makes them feel better about getting vaxxed if everybody else is mandated to get it.

kind of like a circumcised father coping with the trauma of losing his foreskin by making his son get circumcised as well. it makes the father feel better about his mutilated penis.
Lmao. I was with you till the last paragraph you just had to MISC off on everyone.

They've been told that COVID is dangerous by people who they know have more knowledge about it that they do, and they also trust those same people to be truthful and have their best interests in mind. So, if they're convinced by these people that COVID is is dangerous and they should be terrified of getting it, it stands to reason that they would also trust those same people telling them that getting vaccinated against it is a silver bullet, and would then go and get the vaccine.

Tell me, what do YOU think is the reason people are getting vaccinated voluntarily?

Like I said, I obviously defer some decisions to people who have expertise but not blindly. The things you allude to are all businesses etc that operate on the free market. With that being said, I stillI do make decisions on which specific firm I'll choose to get my tires fixed etc. I don't just blindly receive services from the first business I see without doing the leg work.

Remember in terms of public health institutions you have to put it in the context of an institution where the funding comes from a central authority. I.E head of the CDC such as Fauci.. in that case there is no profit motive to operate on the basis of what people want but to operate in a way that is acceptable by said authority figure..your comparing apples to oranges by alluding to those services lol.

Your also forgetting that the narrative being pushed doesn't match the data or reality. It's totally reasonable to dissent from this narrative when the recommendations are immensely costly and does little to save lives
