I'd assume doctor/medical advice. Same reason the average person does anything related to treatment or vaccines.

Also I think most people now, atleast where I live, have lost atleast 1 family member you to covid who you wouldn't have thought it could kill. I've personally lost 2, everyone weighs risk differently. However most people trust the doctors they have been seeing their whole life, Me included, since my doctor personally saved my moms life.

Such doctors do exist, at least in terms of their opinions of vaccine mandates ..but as mentioned earlier you can't compare the free market( getting your tires fixed) with doctors opinions on a highly sensitive political issue where any deviation from it could result in ostracization. And where the source of funding comes from an institution that has made it clear where they stand.

Also I think most miscers don't necessarily have a problem with the Vax or vaccines per se, but have a problem with mandates and government overreach.. taking the vax' blindly sets a bad precedent and gives way to a slippery slope..and it's also important to make these considerations in the context of the fact that only a minority of cohorts of the population are at risk for this..so why take it if your healthy? It doesn't prevent spread anyway..If most doctors are making bad recommendations in this regard why follow the advice?..and it's not like people don't disregard all advice from their docttors. if people didn't trust doctors in all respects then we would be hearing people say that getting leg surgery is 'cucked' behavior..but we don't because the methods aren't unreasonable. these mandates are unreasonable on the basis of many things that need not be mentioned and many people can perceive it.

Most people have not lost multiple people to covid who they didn't expect to pass. This is reflected in the average comorbidity and age stats. Also, most people have not lost anyone to covid. Look at Italy, the USA and other countries who are displaying the difference between dying WITH covid and dying FROM covid. If you are talking healthy sub 60 year olds, then the death numbers line up with a bad flu year. Unfortunate to see your personal emotional experiences influence your object outlook. You'd think someone who calls themselves "misc dr.phil" and couldn't get 5 posts deep without asking "where'd you get your degree from" would untangle those two things due to its inevitable bias. Glad to hear a doctor saved your mom's life. That doesn't mean you put blind trust in doctors. Understand that if you are bleeding out and a doctor is working on you you'd be an idiot to stop him and ask for sources on his treatment. However, if the largest propaganda push we've ever seen is shoving an emergency order, experimental, new technology into your arm for something that is proving to be a seasonal flu for healthy people every day than yes, question your authority figure and read the sources. Its non essential, so your decision should weight risk management and potential nefarious actions.

Just like your car mechanic example from last page. They say your tires are bald and they want you to get new ones. Is it crazy for someone to look up when tires should be replaced to double check the potential scam that always exists when someone is asking for money? 9/10 times you'll need the tires, but 1/10 times you avoid a scam. Education prior to decision making is essential. Hilarious that you choose a car mechanic as an example of trusting authority with services or goods you cannot create/perform on your own when car mechanics are probably the second most slim ball industry next to big pharma.

What all of this BS demonstrates is just how few people can stick to their principles when they are based on facts and logic especially when under all sorts of BS societal pressure and will ignore EVERY red flag that is counter to the imposed belief and the total inability to think critically based on their own circumstances.
