As someone who has been ill as fuk for 4 years I literally can't wait to be able to go for a run, or a swim, lift, or even wake up without pain lol.

The little joys in life you take for granted.

If you're bored learn a new skill, sign up to a sports team, dancing classes, build something (virtual or physical), . There's so much fun chit to do and there's plenty of people to do it with.

Personally I never get bored on computer (vidya, youtube, movies/shows, misc), and love exercise but haven't been able to do it for years.

The big issue with Tiktok is we are constantly exposed to fake people doing fake things and having fake fun. Like you're always looking at people doing 'better' than you and comparing yourself to them. Don't do that, just find chit you like to do and give zero fuks srs.

I feel the same, life is dismal these days. Most women and people are all shallow. People are just dumbed down and seem like zombies. Travel is boring, western culture and society has been ruined by globohomos. No more culture to see.

The future looks very depressing.
You could see it that way, but at the same time you have more access to more people, more things to do, more things to learn, more things to read, more things to watch, more ways to make money than ever before. People have always been dumbed down lol, from my experience the average person is ridiculously boring, but there's so many people you meet that are awesome srs.

OP I feel the same
Depression can make hobbies less enjoyable. I dont really look forward to anything at all these days. Even when I go on youtube or instagram and see what others are doing, it doesn't interest me either.

Look into skydiving. There are badass drop zones all over the world. Good people and everyone there is having a great time. Itโ€™s only around $25 a jump and much safer than people assume. Nothing like jumping out of plane to make you feel alive again

You can. Learn programming/web dev. Get a work from home job. Work 8 hours a week and fish the rest.

I have to say I found skydiving overrated af lol. The funnest 'adventure' thing I've ever done was riding buggies (not quads) in Thailand. It was raining in the jungle, fukin tearing thru the mud in a buggy was the GOAT.

I spend all my days learning now and just gaining knowledge. That part is true (easy access to information).

I disagree about "more ways to make money before" -- because of monopolization and crony capitalism, along with globalism, its harder than ever to make money. This wasn't really the case until recently. Even online is VERY difficult to make money these days. I say this as someone who used to make a lot of money online.

Also disagree about people always being dumbed down....go read historical letters from "poor people" back in the day and how educated and intelligent they are. Now compare to today's average person.

Who was head down, barrel rolls, flips, chasing your buddies in the sky, head down going over 200+mph. Canopy flying with a smaller parachute can be fun too

At some point even the prospect of new hobbies is boring, you don't get excited about adding new skills or activities. Taking more risks is the only thing that seems worthwhile to me.

technology has fuked civilization

50 years ago it used to be get married in your 20s, have kids, getting a high paying career was relatively easy, work 9-5, mom stays home, cooks cleans takes care of kids, die at 70ish, that's what the stereotypical life was

but with tech, feminism and just generally the way things are life is just existing till you die, doing stupid chit like tiktok, maybe you marry, likely get divorce, competition for everything is ridiculous, need to work 12 hour days to get ahead etc

is what it is, tech will eventually wipe out mankind, not in our lifetime, but once AI surpasses human intelligence we're fuked, why pay a human to do a job when a robot can do it better for free, why marry a 5/10 dumb kunt when you can have a 10/10 sexbot that does everything etc

I canโ€™t relate to this mentality at all.

Thereโ€™s so much to experience in this world. Traveling and doing outdoor activities break up the boredom.

If you really feel like there's nothing to do in life, you need to hop on a pathway, OP. By that I mean:

-Trade
-College
-Military
-Independent Contractor occupation

Trust me your plate will be full before you know it. Screw tik tok, I'm around zoomers all the time, they're semi-embarrassed to even use it and more embarrassed to actually make a tik tok.

This sounds like a Baby Boomer mentality....

"Just go to college and work hard and you'll have everything you want"

Because that's how it worked for Baby Boomers. The coziest and easiest generation ever.

Yet Boomers completely ignore all the other factors that their generation introduced that have destroyed the economy and society.
