where are you getting your info from? that may have been "how it started" but the organizers themselves have clearly stated that it's about the mandates in general as well. you also insinuated that they were protesting against truckers getting vaccinated which is simply not true when it has been about mandates and choice. plus there are plenty of other vehicles joining, not just truckers so it has clearly evolved beyond just "trucker mandates".

i'm sure the better alternative to all of this is just for them to stay at home and do nothing because somebody said it won't work and to not even try at all. that's the wrong mindset to have to most things in general. you don't like mandates and vaccine passports but go out of your way to completely chit on and talk chit from behind your computer about somebody actually willing to taking action against the things you supposedly despise. and trying despite the possibility of it not working. But at the very least people know this isn't just some fringe minority.

It is a fringe minority. Even if 3000 truckers participate that's 1% of the entire trucker population of Canada. Another 89,000 have people donated towards the GoFundMe which isn't even remotely close to .1% of the population. Last I checked, that's a massive minority.

I'm talking chit because people are spewing rhetoric that's just simply false. And when you point that out with actual facts or ask them to actually prove their stance with a real debate you're met with herp derp you're scared of truckers and like Trudeau's cawk up your ass. I'm not saying 500K people are going to show up because truly I don't know. but lmao if you think people being fed up with the lockdowns, the vaccine mandates, are some fringe minority group.

Here's a live youtube feed if anyone's interested. So far not a lot of trucks but apparently they are in Kemptville right now. Looks like judging from Google Maps the line of cars/trucks is about 12km long if the slow part is all part of the convoy, which means about 250 vehicles.

Another edit: Link to the Kingston police Twitter that says there were 121 trucks and about 400 passenger vehicles. Only 17 trucks were full rigs.

Lunch walk update:

-still cold af, crowd smaller than yesterday as predicted
-crowd still seems like majority drunk quebecois
-more vehicles now, 1 whole lane on Wellington down for parked cars/pickup trucks
-not too many transport trucks, saw maybe 1-2 drive by with posters/flags that weren’t obviously working the route
-security still everywhere

Still seems like any regular protest at Parliament Hill. I probably won’t pass by again until tomorrow since that’s when the trucks should be here.
