I think this is pretty great. Maybe it's not tens of thousands of people but considering this is the middle of winter in Canada it's a pretty dang good turnout. Imagine if this was middle of summer?

So just got back from taking my kids to ski lessons. Passed one main convoy on the highway on the way there (going the opposite way). Probably about 400 vehicles, I think it was the main one from the West coming in. Just drove back and the highway 20km away from downtown is gridlocked and that was the back end of the protest vehicles. So there's a lot of people who aren't going to get anywhere near the main area. Even saw some that were just turning around and heading away.

Pretty incredible, actually more than I thought were going to show up. It's a lot less than even 5,000 vehicles, I'd estimate about 3,000 and god knows how many people. A lot of people from the city are just walking around as well to see the spectacle. Looks like Canada Day for sure.

They are shutting down even the malls and closing all roads downtown. So it's going to be a massive mess for this evening, and I'm expecting when people start drinking that's when the crap will hit the fan.
