while research papers kinda have to be like that by design. at the same time in university when writing a paper they teach you how to be concise and efficient with your wording. brb having 20 sentences to explain something that can be explained in 4. obviously some papers do a better job than others. motherfukers don't have time to read all of that chit and want you to get straight to the point. however to be fair sometimes chit is a bit too complex it becomes hard to do so.
But papers come in all sort of styles, i.e: critiques, analyses, research, etc.
this had me actually looking back to some of the papers I wrote in 3rd/4th year university. one was an analysis of:
"Ventral occipital lesions impair object recognition but not object-directed grasping: an fMRI study. "
lol, had to remind myself how dry and boring these papers are to read with their language.

But if you can be published 2 times a year for a certain number of years a professor can achieve tenure.

Those inaccuracies may be due to misunderstanding, either accidental or intentional.

This thread declared academic journals as "dumb".
Some of the arguments appear to be that they are dumb because they are too detailed.
You argued that you were taught to write concise papers for publication and thus others publishing are doing it wrong.
I asked which courses have you submitting those concise papers.

Here's a random one I picked out of my last research paper that I wrote for graduate school.
Hodge, E. M. (2016). School Desegregation and Federal Inducement: Lessons From the Emergency School Aid Act of 1972. Educational Policy, 32(1), 86–116.https://doi.org/10.1177/0895904816632608
Abstract
This study uses the example of the Emergency School Aid Act of 1972, a federal desegregation incentive program, to discuss the benefits and challenges of equity-oriented incentives. This study applies theories of policy instruments and the social construction of target populations to congressional records, archival program materials, and other historical sources to trace the origin and evolution of the incentives and mandates built into the Emergency School Aid Act.The study ultimately concludes that the program’s combination of a financial incentive with rigorous oversight offers lessons for how to incorporate equity-oriented incentives into current education policy.
The bottom line is that you're talking about (blasting) something you don't really understand. This study uses the example of the Emergency School Aid Act of 1972, a federal desegregation incentive program, to discuss the benefits and challenges of equity-oriented incentives. My guess is that you want to believe that all academic-types are full of chit so you can justify your position on some political topic (based on where we are - the Misc - I'd bet my next paycheck that it's vaccines lol). Just let it go. You're talking about stuff you don't understand.

I was referring to what we're seeing more and more with politicized topics, where media reports "A new study finds..." and presents a summary with more more certainty than present in the actual article, or sometimes presenting inconclusive results as though they are conclusive.
