Every song, every band, everything sounds ****ing identical. Literally no way to differentiate between anyone or anything unless you recognize the song being played. Even if I hadn't heard a particular Van Halen song before, I could still tell it was them. Same could be said for a myriad bands out there.

But not country. ****ing garbage. Singing the same songs about the same crap over and over for the past 30 years at least. The same gay cowboy singers with the same gay cowboy names, with the same gay country twang in their vocals. It's unreal how much I hate it all.
Repped .
I actually get suicidal listening to country , that’s how bad it is .

Love Johnny Cash and John Denver.

And love this song, played in the opening chase scene of "Raw Deal".

Ha....I hear you.

As subjective as music genre preference is I'm in total agreement.
The nasal vocal style (IE: Randy Travis) doesn't work for me either....it's very annoying to my ears.
Although, I am able to tolerate anoccasionalcountry song if it's the older stuff from the fifties/sixties.

At 74 and being a long musician/song writer myself I'm probably more particular about what I like or listen to than many here.
There's a couple other genres out there which, how shall I say......I have no affinity for.
I question a lot of what's perceived as talent these days but the world doesn't revolve around me.

On the subjectivity of it all I'd throw out.....one persons perception of music is anothers definition of noise.

To each their own....and I wish all well with their music endeavors.

Carry on....

At least country musicians work in the "band" format with individuals who actually know how to play an instrument. 3, 4, 5 people playing instruments in time is not an easy task.

Take OP's statement and apply that to today's pop music, which is arguably 90% of all music: Single female or male vocalist, they all sound the exact same because their voices aren't even their voices, but run through an autotune app, zero instruments used to produce the sound, all digital, absolutely no learning of a discipline required, and the lyrical content of a twelve year olds wet dreams. Most female acts today are there for their ability to shake their a$$es, not any actual musical talent. Don't even start with rap.....

This is why heavy metal is so underappreciated. Musicians actually playing their own instruments and actually singing.

Not just playing their own instruments, but playing one of the most challenging (physically and mentally) forms of music that exists.

Country music doesn't exist anymore, there are maybe a handful on modern radio who are real. It's all soft rock and muh america, muh truck and muh busch beer bro country/florida georgia cuck line

For radio? Jon pardi (whos exact goal was to bring traditional back to the radio) Luke combs and Chris stapleton are ok.

I genuinely can't tell if it's meant to be taken seriously. Btw dude could sing about raping puppies and setting orphanages on fire and the chicks would still be all over him.
