How is "fat acceptance" not considered misinformation in 2022?

The fat acceptance movement, also known as fat pride, fat empowerment, and fat activism, is a social movement seeking to eliminate the social stigma of obesity from social attitudes by pointing out to the general public the social obstacles faced by fat people. Areas of contention include the aesthetic, legal, and medical approaches to people whose bodies are fatter than the social norm.

The modern fat acceptance movement began in the late 1960s. Besides its political role, the fat acceptance movement also constitutes a subculture which acts as a social group for its members.
Look at some of the health risks of being overweight and obese:

* Hypertension
* Heart Disease
* Stroke
* Sleep apnea
* Cancer
* Type 2 Diabetes
* Kidney Disease
* Liver Disease

A lot of these illnesses put a person at a much greater risk of winding up on the ventilator and/or dying from COVID19. Why isn't "fat acceptance" being shunned from our society?

Lies that are likely to increase the number of people dependent on systems of power in particular are the most widely accepted and promoted.

If you are 50, on assistance due to being crippled with multiple health problems you are likely a (D) voter and on multiple prescriptions AKA an ideal American.
Eat in a deficit to lose weight.
Hit your protein and fat minimums to stay healthy and keep your gainz.
Lift heavy and do HIIT to look and feel awesome.
Use the internet to learn why you should do these things and how to do these things.

I've said many times that I don't think fat shaming should happen, but completely disagree with the fat acceptance movement of healthy at any size. People should be encouraged to be a healthy weight.

What is the fat acceptance movement saying ? That they shouldnt be bullied for being far or that being far is not unhealthy (lmao)

Srs question dont know much about that ideology

One could argue that it's their body their choice, they could choose to be unhealy fat fuks. However it does generate a Huge bourden to health care systems that everyone ends up suffering the consequences. There should be a fat tax imo.

Also as long as our current socio económical model prometes gluttony, hedonismo and excess obesity will keep rising. It's good for "business" from the gross unhealthy gross industry to pharma and so on. Everyone makes a buck.

You don't see fat people in Cuba for example, and no you don't see starving people either over there.

I'm almost inclined to believe that Wikipedia doesn't accept journal publications as a reliable source, srs. Unless it's on some garbage site like Vox, CNN or Slate it's not accepted.

They don't eve accept admissions of guilt as a source. It first has to be reported within their propaganda network of leftist media before it can be true.
