But tell me specifically, what freedoms have you lost? Can you still do everything you could do before besides NOT wear a mask? Have you lost your job due to COVID (I lost one of my businesses)? Have you had anything prevented besides maybe not being able to get on a plane so easily or god forbid you had to keep your kids home from school (as did I, I have two)? What is it that you've lost that is so valuable to you?

I know several people who have lost their jobs. My bosses girlfriend for one. Indoor events, like the Toronto Boat show where we typically do 10 million in sales, cancelled. Kids who should be socializing and learning mostly doing the online thing now, people like a friend of mine who owns a restaurant literally doing twice the work for half the money, other business closing and people losing their livelihood, suicides and mental health at an all time high...(that is people killing themselves because of mental health issues. We are social people), people not getting cancer treatments because hospitals aren't doing those right now...

I don't know even the beginning of the total cost of castrating ourselves like this, but stories abound. Like I say, we are pretty insulated and our construction division is always booked just due the circumstance we are in. But its an awfully selfish thing to say "oh, so you cant eat in a restaurant? So what!!". What about the owners and people who work there? Don't they matter at all?

Yes, this is all true. I know a TON of people who have either lost businesses or jobs and some people loved ones due to lack of health care. Kids mental health and teenagers are severely affected.

Honestly if it were me I would have rather seen us take Sweden's standpoint, let the virus rip through and if people want to get vaxxed then so be it. I think the vaccine passports are stupid and masks are annoying. Especially now that the majority of the population is either vaxxed or has already had COVID, which is why the mandates are going to be lifted soon. And they would have been anyway.

But that's not what this "protest" is about, at all and any reasonable person who isn't caught up in all the propaganda knows it. The way to create change isn't to sit on a hill and whine about it while you harass a bunch of people who have nothing to do with the mandates in the first place just so you can show off for social media or call yourself a freedom fighter. Or have no job or are restricted because of a choice you made. All the organizers have done is take the lowest common denominator in the population and basically weaponized them for their own agenda.
