Depends what your measurement of "greatness" is, Michael Jackson imo, I think his music will still be played 200 years from now.

Music is very subjective. I love MJ but some people dont like dance music.
Ali is the best or 2nd best heavyweight(behind joe lewis) ever and one of the top 5 P4P all time. Popularity jackson takes it. but more successful objectively ali is higher.

In terms of talent you can't say because music is subjective yet in boxing the better man wins. Overall though MJ is literally the biggest star to ever exist. So gotta go with MJ

Muhammad Ali takes it. If we measure greatness in terms of:
1) Success in their field
2) Popularity overall
3) Impact
Misc is sleeping on the fact that fk villagers in the butthole parts of Pakistan were watching/listening to Ali fight
Also I'm aware that social justice advocacy doesn't mean CHIT today but back when that term had some weight, Ali was literally on the caliber of Malcom X and Martin LKJ. WTF did MJ do for the world besides diddle kids allegedly.

Not taking into account classical music? It’s like you’re asking who is the best athlete in the world, but we can only choose from Special Olympics participants. It’s a stretch to call Jackson a singer, he is a clown, an entertainer for the plebs with undeveloped uneducated ear, a dancer who grabbed his own balls and stuff, but a singer? Singing is a part of his act, mostly yelling and making retarded sexual grunts and noises in high pitch, Pavarotti was a singer, don’t confuse things.
Jackson was the best at one time at his field, but the greatest musician??? LOL

He was a true phenomenon.
Each of my kids went through a massive MJ phase when they were kids. Still love him. They've never heard of Elvis.

It’s telling to just observe things without any preconceived notions, just look at it for the first time, you will see the idiocy of our society LOL, look at that second picture, a skinny homosexual **** child molester is wearing one glove, with fake diamonds, a military style general’s jacket but for some reason with sparkles… wearing sunglasses thou he is not outside and there is no sun, holding symbolic pieces of crap given to him by his handlers to raise his image in the eyes of the stupid plebs so they buy more records.
