What's the story with chicken wings??
Local places here charging like $16 for 10 wings, claiming "supply issues."
I went to the grocery store and got 4lbs raw for $9.99, granted they're "ice glazed" but it's still 3 dozen.
So wholesale is more than retail now or are they just bending us over?

Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

Costco wings jummped like $6 or $7 bucks.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Price jumped a lot. I used to pay 7, then 9 and now 15.98 at Walmart for a few lbs.

The bar (Anchor Bar) where wings were 1st introduced is continually like 3rd place in polls of best wings. Couple other places are doing it better.
I do a dry rub wing on my smoker and I think they're delicious but my family won't eat them.

Chicken shortage. Srs.
Inconsistent with what they get as well (size and quality).
I can’t get chicken breast at my local grocery either.
Glad I stock piled chicken breast when it was on sale over the last year. The only thing that would harm that is a massive power outage.

They stopped adding hormones that allowed chickens to grow more than two wings

Wing industry was alread in trouble with prices like 10-15 years ago
Chickens have been increasing in size steadily but they buy the wings by the lb.
So where a 10lb case might have been 25$ But they got 140 wings to sell it cost .18 per wing
Then it was 10lb for 25 but you get 100 wings and it’s .25 a wing where wing places started raising prices last 10 years or so
Now it’s like 10lb for 35 and it’s like .35 a wing. Basically double what it used to be per wing.
