From what I gather you just said:

A protest in the past burned down buildings.

Mind you I support these protest and believe they are not only necessary but way overdue. If there is some that financially unable to relocate their small children particularly those under 3 I would hope this is addressed by the leaders of the convoy or at least delegated for someone to attempt to deal with. It would only be good publicity for the convoy let alone an objectively good thing to do. These toddlers and babies are the definition of innocent.

You're right except I disagree that things are fine

Every revolution and movement needs a leader. Right now this movement is leaderless.

It's like when Trump said "go home" on Jan 6th and everyone walked home with their heads down and then the tyrants boot came down on their neck. Same will happen here if this is the case. The truckers and protesters will go home and then the jackboot of government is going to come down hard on them to set an example to discourage people from doing this again.

This is why there's been no major protest in America after Jan 6th, because everyone is terrified of being identified and locked up as a political prisoner or get tied up in a legal fight that bankrupts them.

Except there is clear leadership on the convoy side, at least in Ottawa.

The goal posts have never changed. A dissenting remark from the occasional trucker doesn't change the fact that the message has largely remained the same since the first day- No More Mandates.

No masks mandated, but people can still be encouraged to wear them.

No vaccines mandated, but people can still be encouraged to get them.

There's nothing extreme or unreasonable being asked.

The sticking point of course is that the government would have to exercise some humility and admit that they were wrong implementing their mandates and believing that they had a right to try to exercise that much power.
