Well fuk, you’d think the biggest sporting event in the US could somehow manage to pony up for those necessary materials to make the show sound half way decent..

I mean, they have the money, it would just not be possible w/ how the layout the half-time show (open arena so you can see if from all directions).

They'd have to encase the half-time show in a semi-dome so that they could add those dampening acoustic panels to help w/ the muffled sounds you're most likely hearing.

I’m sure you know more about it than me, but plenty of artists lip sync in their concerts, & it always sounds better than half-time shows..I remember a couple getting caught when the music was all off & on repeat

Oh, I know very little about this, I only know what I have told you because I asked my friend about this one year.

In terms of the lip syncing at half-time shows I would just assume its up to the artist and whether or not they actually can sing in the first place.
A lot of artists are horrible singers when you take away their auto tune or when they have to sing live.

I won't argue there. Music back in that era had something that will never be seen again w/ modern day music.

Clownworld.

Dre is a wife beater. 50 is a drug dealer who has been shot a couple hundred times. Eminem writes songs trashing his mom and his baby mama.

So yeah, if you are happy with Clownworld it goes without saying you'd be happy with this garbage on a SB broadcast.

It takes days to setup a stadium for a proper outdoor concert. They have like 10 minutes. For a real concert they're doing sound checks longer than this whole actual performance. The only way to do it right would be to have the halftime show at a different venue that didn't have to play a football game around it.

I enjoyed it except for whatever that was where they were all in boxes. That part of the act should have stayed in the boxes and been tossed into the dumpster

No way any of those clowns came anywhere close to Prince.

This. Lady Gaga killed it because she can actually sing. It was fun seeing Dre and Snoop together hanging but you could barely hear Fifty (at least he was rapping) and Eminem and Mary J were lip-syncing brutally.

And as a singer, I can also tell you that singing while trying to do anything else, even play an instrument you're good at is way harder than you think it is.
