So we're fighting against businesses being shut by....shutting down more businesses? Especially ones that were JUST allowed to reopen like a week before.

And I'd be willing to bet 95% of the truckers are on some form of government assistance since they can obviously afford to leave their jobs (if they had them) for three weeks - or are self employed and likely racking up debt like crazy. The organizers don't care, they are siphoning money off of the contributions.

Yes absolutely. Remove the mandates, the truckers leave and businesses can reopen.

A few weeks of shutting down business in a concentrated area pales in comparison to the mass shut down of small businesses nationwide over the past 2 years. Short term pain for long term gain right? I think I recall the government using this line of thinking for the past two years.

Unlike the government who kept saying a few weeks, luckily this will actually only last a few weeks.

And if you think all the protestors have been doing is parking and honking then you have no perspective on what has actually happened in the city.

Our BLM protest here in Ottawa was 5000 people marching peacefully without any incidents. That's peaceful.

This happened worldwide. It's not like we were the only place in the world doing mandates. So do you think we should have left everything open during the pandemic? What would you have done differently?

My name isn't Jesus, but I assume your question is directed at me.

Yes, I do make both concrete and relevant points.

However, I try to avoid the pitfalls of emotive language and name-calling. Rather, I address the claims, arguments, or opinions stated as facts with no support.

The points I make often don't align with the Misc narratives. As we've seen, that can get people upset and rustle jimmies.

Rather, they protested provincial Parliament on weekends, so citizens were impacted, but not politicians.

I would have allowed people the freedom of choice and not mandated people into the poorhouse. Not caused people to commit suicide.

Encourage those in high risk groups to take the precautions they see fit. Give people the info and let them decide and take ownership of their decisions...

Not caused people like myself and my wife to have a needed surgical procedure postponed and as a result there is a 99 percent chance that MY WIFE WILL BE UNABLE TO HAVE CHILDREN.


Like I said.

I would let people like yourself choose to protect them selves as they see fit, and give people like myself who lives in a community of 250 in butt fuk nowhere the ability to protect myself as is necessary to my situation which might be very different from yours.

Seemed kinda obvious it was being politicized about 2 years ago, especially in the US. It always struck me as completely bizarre that everyone was basing their opinions on it according to their political views. Really makes no sense when you think about.

"Did you know you can still catch covid and spread it even if you're vaccinated and some people are getting bad side effects like blood clots and heart attacks?"
