Did I break my nose sparring? (srs)
Went back to the boxing gym about a week ago to improve my fightmaxxing and did some sparring with these two guys where we all took turns doing rounds in the ring.
One of the guys I managed to block/parry most of his shots and got a few jabs and hooks in but he then caught me with a strong clean right cross which shook me up for a few seconds. Wasn't bleeding but my eyes started watering as taking shots to the nose hurts like hell.
Whenever I apply pressure to the right side of my nose I hear a slight crackling sound although nothing really painful tbh.
I really wanna go tomorrow but not sure if it's worth sparring for abit, might just do some pads and bag work.
What do you think misc?

Don’t let an ego boost / adrenaline rush be the reason you do permanent damage to your body bro. People in amateur/pro boxing and MMA/UFC put their bodies’ through agony for a paycheck (or a paycheck once they turn pro), don’t put yourself through it and not get anything out in return just some advice don’t want a fellow gym bro getting hurt

Obviously don’t spar again until it’s 100, that’s like asking if you should deadlift again while your back is still tweaked
I wouldn’t call that a break tho.
Edit: deadlift might not be the best analogy, because there’s no perfect form for getting blasted in the nose lol
Edit2: just reread that there’s no pain, so you might be fine, listen to your gut on whether your g2g or not
Edit3: if you’re not confident that you can take a face shot then you will have a bad time sparring

I only do boxing as a hobby because I enjoy it while in the zone and for general cardio/well being, nowhere near good enough to become an amateur boxer though as I don't live and breath the lifestyle.

From that point I learnt to always keep my stance sideways and tuck my elbows in while sparring. Haven't had a major injury since tbh.

I only wear a mouth piece/gum shield as that's what actually essential to prevent serious injury.
