Ghostbusters a couple months ago
Before that it was Jungle Cruise and Cruella.
I only used to go to the theaters to see the MCU movies but I am just over them now, have zero desire to see Spider-Man, I'm sure I will watch it when I get a decent stream of it though, but the excitement has waned since End Game

Now if these studios could make a decent movie

Maybe 15 or 18 years ago. Why would anyone pay that much money to see a movie when you can download it for free online is beyond me..

My wife and I realized that watching movies in bed together is far better than doing it in theaters.
I mean DOING IT AFTER...in bed.

I take my kids to the matinee all the time. The problem is that most movies are chit tier these days. I think the last we went to was either Shen Chi or Dune. I was going to take them to Venom but my ex took them before I got a chance.

Spiderman: No Way Home.
I like the theater, will be sad when they fade away. Sure there are *******s who go but opening night (like Endgame) can better with people.

Movie theaters are dead now
Its a combination of streaming services and trash woke movies that keep failing in the box office
The theaters by me are on the verge of closing (think some already shut down)
The ones that are open are offering subscription passes, like $30 and see unlimited movies whenever you want. They also play a lot of older movies now since all the new movies are trash.

think the last was Endgame
loved movies and the art of them ... now way too woke, too much pop culture, and commercialized / product placement
cant stand them anymore
home theaters are cheap and really good and the prices are insane at box office

Whenever the last Jedi came out (2017?). It was the worst movie I ever saw, and made me realize how terrible movies had become. Havenβt desired to give Hollywood my money ever since. The plandemic helped.

Costs about $10-15 per ticket
AMC Stubs A List is about $25/month for the ability to see 3 movies per week.
CineMark has $9.99/month ofr 1 movie per week and a 20% concessions discount.
