I have nothing against immigration, my family came here from Europe, but only when itโ€™s done in an intelligent way with the countries citizens interest first and foremost. And that actually can be done.

But this rushed, idiotic, approach to just essentially open the borders completely in hopes that it will somehow โ€œsaveโ€ the economy is retarded.

i don't really have a problem with immigration but it almost seems like it comes at the expense to actual Canadian citizens living here. We have a lot of problems, for example housing probably being at the top of list. Liberal govt seems to prioritize bringing in immigrants rather than working on making lives better for those that already live here. if an immigrant has some sort of skills, is a net positive, grinds to create a better life and doesn't bring about 3rd world problems i'm all for it.

i'd be down for sending them all to quebec tho lmao. should be great to see the clown world that unfolds when you bring in refugees/immigrants from 3rd world countries to the most racist, regressive, left-wing commie paradise.

Canada only has a population of 38 million, and needs the Immigration. It's not like the US where there are obviously too many people and there are issues finding productivity for all of them. Canada probably needs more just to support their essential functions.

That isn't the problem. With our housing crisis where Vancouver houses are almost at $2m avg, locals who were born/raised here have no way of buying anything (or starting a family). We may need the immigration, but not at the expense of locals who can't afford ****.

^^^ i donโ€™t think thatโ€™s immigration causing the bubble in Vancouver, itโ€™s Chinese money/foreign investment.

There is a statistic about immigrants making less than born Canadians in their first year but after one year they, on average, make more. Not sure what that implies (they come over more skilled? Are better set up/ supported for success, are less lazy?).

well yes, what do you expect considering the guy/establishment that currently runs the Country?

left../..right, its a spectrum and there's vlaid points on both sides but when the people in charge are bending over backwards to be so far over to the left that they're 2 steps away form making the entire country non-binary. If there are immigrants coming in and buying expensive houses, there are also opportunities to serve these people so you can buy your own expensive house.

The key is finding a way to serve that purpose.

This is it unfortunately.

If Millennials would start shacking up and popping babies, they'd keep the economy floating better. Unfortunately, they don't want to because the economy is bad, which in turn forces the leaders to immigrate more people.

Look at other countries refusing to do this (e.g. Russia, Japan). It's going to get worse for them in 10-20 years if they don't start making changes.
