Bingo. That was discussed back on like page 10 but of course some people can't pull their heads out of their asses.

Mandates, masks etc. are mostly stupid at this point. People should be free to make their own choices regarding them. But that doesn't give a fringe minority the right to disrupt lives with noise, vandalize and harass people and prevent businesses from operating when they were JUST allowed to reopen again. Never mind block a major trade border between two countries.

I can probably find 50-100k comments on social media about this and 95 percent support the convoy, but yeah a poll from Vox news with confirmation bias and a sample size of a few thousand is way more accurate

You're delusional AF if you think this is a fringe minority lmao

If you still can't see that the policy of universal mrna injections has been functionally a failure then you just aren't going to see it. They were not sufficiently tested and then they were given to everyone, not just to the vulnerable, which was known to be a bad policy during an active pandemic.

In the US we were given that right by the framers of our Constitution. You could even call it a DUTY.

In Canada I believe it falls under theCharter of Human Rights And Freedoms.

Crazy stuff happening, mirin Canada's exposure of the hippocracy in govt against these protests.

It’s a shame that peoples political alignment prevent us from coming together and seeing that we have a common enemy.

But let’s stay focused on people who don’t agree with me bad. Still gonna neg anti protest dissenters anyway hehe

That's the thing. The alt left posters fail to realize the left and right are coming together in Canada.

Of course alt left people ITT, super into politics like to categorize people based on political affiliation when protesting the mandates and this freedom convoy is neither a left wing or right wing stance. The most outrageous thing is associating it with white supremacy lmao - like where does one even get that idea.

According to these people supporting the convoy automatically makes you a white supremacist, fringe minority alt right.

No, that's the difference. People ITT are taking issue with the actions, tactics, and demands of the convoy. Not with the other posters.

Well the majority of the posters ITT and the majority of Canadians support the convoy. Again all you do is argue semantics. Fine JLC you aren't taking issues with us personally (clearly since no one knows each other personally here), you're taking issue with our support of the convoy. Again another pointless comment from you and I feel braindead for having even replied.

In saying that there have been numerous posts calling the convoy a fringe minority of alt right protesters. Which is untrue. I don't even understand how this convoy is inherently right wing.

You can definitely see the semantic straw grasping here. Just like how some folks are clinging on to the whole “white supremacy” thing like you said.

I am surprised that there seems to be a minimal amount of fake plants in the convoy (from what I can see in murica) since it’s been such a big problem here in protests ranging from BLM to union strikes.

The thing I take issue with is presenting opinions as facts. It's not true that the majority of Canadians support the actions and tactics employed by this movement.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't. Still doesn't give them permission to do whatever the hell they want and break laws, especially to people in Ottawa or anywhere else. Peaceful protest is something we should obviously be able to do. This protest isn't peaceful, never was intended to be and has resulted in lots of criminal acts.

It's always so easy to bring up the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but if you actually read that, the very first principle is that the government can do whatever the hell they want if they think it is for the good of the people. Meaning the majority of the country.

Also, police in Ottawa starting to hand out notices like they did in Windsor. Once those are distributed they will start warning people, then arrests probably begin. Some trucks are already starting to leave.

You can man make inference at a certain level of confidence. This isn't deterministic clearly.

Again I've shown ITT multiple times there are thousands and thousands of posts that show what people are ACTUALLY saying and going out of their way to say as opposed to some poll that surveys a few thousand people who were asked to participate.

Again with the semantics. Fine JLC it isn't a fact that majority of Canadians support the movement; however, given my assumptions and research I can reasonably conclude that most Canadians do at some level of confidence.

I don't understand your first sentence.

But, you've posted selected screenshots from a single social media platform, far fewer than thousands upon thousands, and then suggested the majority of Canadians agree with the movement and their methods because most people disagree with mandates.

Sure, you can draw inference from anything, but that doesn't mean it's valid.
