If Trump wins in 2024, can he run again in 2028?

I know that US laws prohibit a president from serving more than two consecutive terms as President, but since Trump won in 2016 and lost in 2020, if he were to run in 2024 and win, could he not also run in 2028 for his second consecutive term?

This hasn't really been an issue since in US history only Grover Cleveland served non-consecutive terms as the 22nd and 24th President of the United States.

8 more years?
Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way but, in 20 years if you're still here postin' in hhhnnnggg threads, beggin' for mod reps, and braggin' about whales you harpooned from POF, I'll f'in kill ya. That's not a threat, that's a fact, I'll f'in kill ya. You got somethin' none of us have, and you don't owe it to yourself man, you owe it to me. Cuz tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be red, and I'll still be a socially awkward/FA. And that's all right.

22nd amendment prevents a president from serving more than 2 terms consecutive or not.

Honestly should be given the rest of this term, plus another, for free since the entire 2017-2021 presidency was full of fake peach mints and spying by obama et al.

No he can't, and thank God he can't. We don't need a 90 year old president. This current pants ****ter is bad enough. But I got to say watching the lefties lose their **** would be entertaining.

Same.

As much as I'd enjoy the left lose their marbles further, we really need someone that will be able to get this administration out and fix the problems it put in place.

We don't a candidate that will ultimately lose the Presidency because people hate him that much that they'll vote for the geriatric again in 2024.

gotta give him some respect if he can actually pull off winning a 2nd non-consecutive term.

i dont think he would get the nomination over that florida guy though. that guy seems pretty popular, although so does trump so who knows. either way, i highly highly doubt the dems take it again after all thats been going on.

Trump will be 78 in 2024 and 82 in 2028.

Biden is turning 80 this year.

US presidents just keep getting older and older....

Out of population of over 330 million, you can't find any young blood to run the country?

There will be a civil war if Trump gets back in for 2024 - so he could probably be president indefinitely for the new Red America, while Hillary can run Blue America.

KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov predicted this ^ ^ ^ - it is the demoralization phase of destroying a country through ideological subversion.

The four stages are:

Demoralization
Destabilization
Crisis
New Normal

Guess which stage the West is in now?

I’d take Pence or DeSantis as the Republican nominee over him.

Trump wasn’t a bad president per se but he invokes too much emotional turmoil and if he’s the candidate again you’ll see people who might vote Republican vote Democrat because of how polarizing he is.

The worst thing Republicans could do is nominate him again. Even if Biden’s tenure is a train wreck. Too many on the fence voters have a distaste for Trump. It’s a bad decision.

Trump, if elected in 2024, would mirror what happened to Cleveland when he was President.

Anything else you Google about them is just more information on their personal life outside of the Presidency as both are/were wealthy men.

From a quick Google search (because I didn't know either), they can - nothing in the Constitution prohibits them from that.
