The moment I started a business and realised that being an employeecel was not the only option to make a living. I was very insecure about that decision 5 years ago. It changed my life for the better in every single way, now I live semi-retired where I still "work" a lot but It's always on my time and on my terms. Gave me a lot more freedom to actually live like a human being and not an office drone.
That and the feeling of rawdogging and busting a nut inside while she begs for your seed, nothing more life affirming than that.

I went to prison for three years. Taught me patience, integrity, and discipline, none of which I had previously.

The moment I met this guy...

With the exception of my many personal failures, everything has been different since that very moment..

As sometimes pointed out by others to me, when I developed a stomach conditions in my teens. No one thought it would become a life long auto immune condition I'd struggle with. Most felt doctors would have cure and I'd be back in the game per se. Never happened.
Though here of late i feel I'm on the right track to getting better, finally and hopefully.

When I was 22 I went out drinking with my buddies and at a house party, ended up having sex with a chick. Turns out she was 16 (unawares to me) and bragged to her friends, school counselor found out, and alerted the state. I'm extremely grateful I went, though. I needed the wake-up call.

I've had a pretty normal life, but I definitely see things through a different lens compared to most people. Other than the obvious things like my children being born, I can think of a few one off moments that shaped the way I am now. I remember hearing something on TV about advertisements, from the ad-maker themselves. They said "it's not my job to get you to buy the product but to get you to remember the ad." Dunno why but since then, and especially then, I made a great effort to avoid anything related to commercials. It taught me to ignore a lot of fluff and mindless BS that exists in everyday life. I can see things for what they really are.
Later on, I had a high school English teacher explain to another student that "just because you're cynical doesn't mean that you think negatively, you just think." And that stuck with me in a similar manner.

I remember when I got out, it was pretty euphoric…some people in there though just dont give a fuk cause inside is all the life they know and when they out they just fall into the same traps and dont care about their life or do any self-reflection

Oddly I crashed my motorcycle and broke a bunch of bones. Had to get operations and the like.
Got a form to fill out to collect temporary disability because i couldnt work.
When they depositied the money , it was like $2600. Tat was exactly what i owed on 1 of my 5 credit cards.
I paid that one off and then used what i normally paid on that one to add to the payment on the next one and so on until they were all paid off.
I then used all those payments to add to what i owed in state and federal taxes and paid all of those off too.
Couple years later I was bill free but for rent and untilities and such. Life changed dramatically for the better because of it. hardly ever work now and when I do 75% of it at least goes right into the bank so i dont need to do it but for a few months a year at most and not even a decent job. just whatever.
Life is so much better without those bills hanging over my head.

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

-A long spurt of unemployment, was stuck in a bad place mentally, knew i had to change my attitude, drive, and confidence from that moment
-Finishing college after dropping out 9 years prior, first in the fam to do so, easily found jobs after
-Candy flipped, saw life completely differently after, unforgettable experience
-Couple different international trips gave me new experiences, perspective, friends, definitely changed me for the better
Can't pick one, they all changed me

There's been multiple times in my life I thought I was going to die. The worst was when I was internally bleeding and every night I went to bed not knowing if I would wake in the morning. About 3 weeks of that made me appreciate life more than I ever thought was possible.

I have two; one for the better and one for the worst.
Better: The day we got our golden retriever. She has calmed me down so much, it's pretty wild.
Worst: The day I found out my pregnant wife had been screwing around during my deployment.

Imagine you're trying to jam your pork sword into some braindead sorostitute's meat wallet that night. You think you can just walk away from that?
