There was never an interest in diplomacy. The west is weak and in decline whereas Russia and China are climbing. We will do nothing but implement sanctions, but Russia can surely get whatever it needs from china and the rest of the world can't afford to stop buying Russian oil.

Oil has risen from around $35/bbl in 2017 to around $90/bbl today.
