It's good to confirm what I was I already thinking.....that I'm extremely overqualified and underpaid.
Granted, I am in a situation in which I have nearly capped out on how much I can make at this firm since it is small and can't afford to pay me anymore.

Of course college is your best chance for monetary success and a much more comfortable work environment.

I hire right out of college at $60k. 5 years experience $80k. Work from home the last two years with plans to go back in the office 2 days/week.

You don't wreck your body and you don't have to work stupid hours to make decent money. Plus the top end salary when you get to the exec level is closer to $500k than $100k.

But of course every tradie on the misc either owns their own company or is some kind of underwater welder in Antarctica making $200k a yeawr.

Yeah, I don't know. I always absolutely hated school growing up (though I did well in it), and having to do a basically mandatory 12 years of that shyt...sucks. Kind of felt like a bit of a prison sentence. The on top of all that I ended up getting a Masters eventually. Then if you add in, which is certainly not uncommon, needing to get some professional cert/designation...which generally have "Continuing Education" requirements...

My job requires a degree and certification, but I easily could have done it straight out of High School. Honestly, I think you could damn near train a chimp to do this (the field itself can be complex as fuk though, just depends on the job), but somehow I have seen people manage to struggle with it...

All they got was debt and contempt from society, often underemployment too.

All Empires die a slow death. It took Rome about 300 years to decline and die. About 200 of which were a depopulated Rome populated by a few decadents and majority immigrant population (ex-slaves from middle East). It's so ridiculously similar to the modern West. I think the only White male dominated institutions in 2022 are the military and police, at least in Europe (don't know how it is in USA/Canada).

You are over generalizing. College can be useful if you want to become say a doctor teacher, engineer etc. or major in something useful such as finance, accounting, nursing etc.

Several decades ago, CEOs and executives only made on average between 2 to 5 times as much as their employees. Now they make 300-500 times as much.

We have billionaires flying around and partying in space, while the average working man is struggling and slaving away just to keep up with the inflation from the central banks.

Western society is resembling the Weimar Republic right now

It's unfortunately the natural evolution of capitalism, wealth tends to concentrate. And classes protect their class privilege with gatekeeping.
The information economy is a wealth class invention and things like digitalisation, automatisation, etc will further enrich them and impoverish the majority.
The system has no answer to this problem as its geared towards the wealth class which also holds the reins of power.
USA will become more and more inequal. European countries have it semi-better due to more egalitarian societies.

Here's a great example. My youngest brother was making about $52k after 5 years with a company, he was the best performer in the region. I had been telling him for years that he was doing it wrong, to do what I told him, and he'd be doing much better much faster. Last year he finally listened, he changed careers, and exactly one year in he's making $57k per year. He surpassed what had taken him 5 years in another career field in one year once he started listening to me. He's a hard worker, but doesn't like taking risks, he gets comfortable, which is why he was stuck where he was for so long.

Most people are worse than him, they get comfortable, and they aren't even hard workers. If you can't get to at least $75k by 35, you're just not trying.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

This is the basic fact of this thread.

Our money is becoming worth much less, thus we are expected to work harder and with more of our free time for a smaller little ration of the crumbs we produce.

At some point its not gonna make sense for most working people to... work. At some point in time, the average wage just isnt worth the headache of doing so and being poor and on the dole is a better option... it is for a lot of people now.... and growing.

This is where the Great Reset comes in.

As you know, the global elites who have accumulated vast wealth and control, are now desperately pushing this agenda from Davos and the WEF in western society.

The goal is:

1) Take complete and total control over all property (i.e. BlackRock buying up vast swaths of homes)
2) Force the "peasants" to rent everything they need
3) Utilize social credit scores to keep people in line and stomp out dissent

They realize that this isn't sustainable and there will be a revolt. But by implementing this, they can easily keep any uppity peasants in line by restricting and taking away their comforts/privileges if they get out of line.

The other aspect is population reduction.

This is all designed so preserve their power/wealth, pull up the ladder to ensure no one else can get there, and maintain their lifestyle and power with no risk of revolts.
