Lmao just lmao at spending more than 3-4 years at a company that has no reason to give you any substantial increases in pay.

What? Dollars you invest aren't worth less until you actually spend those $'s.

Other than fuel, which went from $30/wk to $55/wk I haven't noticed any difference.
And with motorcycle season fast approaching my fuel costs are about to to go $15/wk.

I'm in a good spot, all my savings are in silver and I punted my hundreds of thousands of dollars in school loans which interest rates have been outpaced heavily by inflation.

Even if you take the “official” figures, that’s a rubbish return for the amount of risk.
You should be able to get a return by putting your money in the bank.

Yeah exposure to inflation really depends on where your money goes during the period of crazy prices, a lot of this stuff won't last forever but some of it will be entrenched

You’re getting taxed in nominal dollars
So you are paying tax at the marginal tax rate applicable to $200k, not the deflated amount (bracket creep). Your average and total tax rate will be higher for a given level of purchasing power.
Did you work 15% less hard this year? Probably not. Did the government give you thousands of dollars more in services? Doubt it.

We emerged essentially out of nothing and are now far more developed than some parts of the world that had heads starts of literally thousands of years, and we'll continue plowing ahead

Since the rest of my money is invested that should be considered. It's been 14% return each year over the last 5 years, so I'm doing just fine honestly. Yeah inflation sucks, but when you zoom out it hasn't been so bad for me personally.

Nothing really to buy anymore. I mostly have what I need. I'm not saying inflation isn't effecting me, it's just not effecting me much. Trust me when I say I hate inflation, and I watch prices like a hawk. I'm just set up well right now for it.
Vacation though, that's where I've been hit the hardest. Flights are mostly up, hotels are almost double, and rental cars are up like 50%. But that's a flexible choice.
Also want to buy another car and those prices are up like 30-35% on the model I want.

Depends on how you live your life. I make about 250k on average. 120k on my pharmacist salary and 130k from other investments. Dont pay much on my investment profits due to business tax write off. I bought my cars and other goods on my business. I only spend 1/3 of my income and invest and save the rest. Considering disposable income in US in Dec of 2021 was $55k, how much I make and how much I spend, inflation had zero impact.
Trust me, I am a pharmacist.
