Not successfully.

No country in the world right now could get past our navy to land on our shores.

If they made it here, the amount of airpower would likely be overwhelming.

If not, if would be hard as hell to occupy considering all the guns amongst the population. Guerilla warfare would cost many lives to the occupiers.

Main factor in war is supply chain. America is protected by giant oceans on either side making a supply chain that could provide for a military big enough to even land boots on America would just be impossible. Unless they somehow got into venezuela or something and set up base there

It would be difficult in a traditional military sense.

Some will say though with Biden's open border policies we are being invaded now. I believe up to 2 million mostly unvaccinated illegal aliens have crossed into America in the last year. It would be nice if the troubled southern border was made secure.

Eh, a sniper shot from a bald fat man is just as effective as from a jacked 6'5" soldier. You think militaries and civilians are going to go out and do a PT contest to figure out who wins? You're not talking about Roman times when combatants had to stab you with a sword or engage in some form of hand to hand combat.

The average afgahn dude is 5'6" and like 120 pounds, if physical fitness and size meant anything in warfare then they would have been steamrolled on day 1. Superpowers don't get invaded even in ancient times, they slowly fall apart from within, decline, and then either break up on their own or have small chunks taken over as they lose the ability to defend their entire area.

You have everything you need. Full Auto is a meme, but enough of you are capable of converting an AR or AK if the government collapses along with the ATF so it's not even an issue. The southern states will definitely swing towards Mexico eventually. Baja California stands out like a sore thumb on a map and is ripe, of course that will be a century away from happening and civil war 2 will have broke out before then.

Not unless it’s by Canada, Mexico or a Caribbean country that touches our border. JFL @ the prospect of that. America has arguably the best geographic location of any nation on earth. Strategically it’s near impossible to invade. Manifest destiny ensured access to both major oceans, so port access is plentiful and U.S. soil touches every climate zone. We have military bases everywhere from the Arctic to the tropical islands of the Pacific. The interior is well insulated. The United States is impregnable. Don’t worry about an invasion.
