Today Is The Last Time I Walk In My Gym

The are closing my location. I've been going there for 10years.

It's probably going to be a pretty sad workout.

It was a bit of a drive for me but I loved the location. There was a nice sportsbar, 4 or 5 other restaurants, a staples in case I needed to poop and two grocery stores.

It's just not going to be the same at the other location. It's crowded. Feels darker. And everything around it is super upscale.

I'm going to be in my feels.

There's two other locations and they upgraded me to a national membership for travel.

But lots of memories in there with my boys when they were younger.

That's rough jacketbrah, it's hard losing a gym that feels comfy but don't just give in and go to a chain location that doesn't feel like home because you happen to already have a membership.
Take some time to play the field and see if any other gyms click with you, try to go at it with an open mind and not just hanging on to the loss of your old gym and you may find a new one that clicks, even if it's a different vibe you can still love her for who she is.

Talk to everyone today leobrah. Invite those young gym hbb's to staples to poop and a drink at the sports bar after the workout.

I loved my old gym. Tried the local branch/same chain and it just isn't the same. Fancier, but a different vibe...less of the classes I like, more aloof people.

I know this feel. Gym right by my house was the best in town. Full of old people. Weights area was the size of a basketball court and I usually had everything to myself. But they got bought out, had renovations done and doubled the rate. Got a contracted rate somewhere else now.

Fuark having a reliable place to drop a deuce is important.

Time to perform some recon, brah.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Just happened to me a few months ago. My local gym closed at the end of November. I'm just working out at home as best I can while I wait for this new gym that is supposed to open in the summer in the same location. There are other options but having a gym in walking distance is a game changer, so waiting for the new local one.

Gonna be a John Reed Fitness, which from the website looks like it'll be a little over the top but should be interesting.
