You are going to see, when **** goes bad people are going to turn VERY STRONGLY against people like you. You will have NO ONE defending you. You will either have to choose to completely change, go into hiding, or rope.
We really would like it if you change because the other 2 aren't going to be a happy time for you bub.

Yeah you can't just hold a guy down for almost 10 minutes while he's clearly unconscious. Clearly something the cops should get punished for, especially Chauvin.
But the public reaction causing choke holds to be banned was dumb. Acting like this was a race issue was dumb. Acting like this means we needed sweeping nation wide reforms was dumb.

People wanted to cry and wine over 1 person and demonize and sue the whole profession which was saving lives daily, and now they are going to reap the consequences. I have been planning my exit strategy since it started and I am probably one of the most objective and community service oriented police who uses his discretion and trys to treat everyone with respect. Most of the best cops I know are the ones leaving, the only ones staying are the ones who need the paycheck and have no other skills.
I warned people this would happen, but ignorant emotional bafoons who cant separate their feelings from logical thought won.

Taking drugs or a pipe off the street just leads to more crime, now they have to steal to get what you just took from them and buy/trade for a new pipe/drugs. Constantly pulling over vehicles and stopping bikes with investigative stops looking for actual criminals means these idiot cops are treating everyone they pull over like a criminal and killing public support for police in the process, just so they can find $10 worth of drugs and feel cool.
A lot of this is PDs hiring people with little to no life experience who were goodie two shoes growing up. They've never been pulled over and questioned by the cops before, and see every little thing and some giant crime because they didn't know anyone committing crimes when they were growing up. They wanted to be cops their whole lives and weren't exactly cool and now they're the cool kids, according to them. You see it in tons of rookies who become salty guys who then become supervisors and have no business being in the profession. A lot of that is because of the hiring requirements, which I think should be stricter, but also more lenient on past behavior. Hire the guy with life experience and maybe a few minor run ins with the law over the guy who didn't drink until he was 21 and now he's 22 and ready to start the academy as his first real full time job.

You also have a lot of police officers who arrest people because their boss told them that is how you do good police work. So their motive isnt to better the community or get actually detrimental to society criminals off the street, their motive is job performance. It is something that has disgusted me with this profession, although that isnt the majority and its really the admin who should be fired for that, but taking someones freedom away for the intrinsic value of a pat on the back by your boss is completely morally corrupt even if the person was a criminal.
We have a lot of antiquated thinking still because of these 50+ year olds leading police departments and they were brought up in that same way. Their career was based mostly when there was the "war on drugs" and they were brainwashed into thinking drugs were the epitome of all crimes.

So sit back, collect that paycheck(and pension if long enough), slight reasonable delay in responding to calls, write up reports after the victims shoulder the brunt of the violence. Document and stay safe. Let them reap what they sow.

What hes saying is moreso that investigative stops have been abused.
There is a difference between a cop who knows his beat, he knows a certain person who is known for molesting kids, he sees that person driving really slow around kids playing on a playground. He then initiates an investigative stop to ask what Peedo bro is doing.
Then we have cop b who sits 1 block away from a known weed dealer's house and he pulls over every car who leaves that dealers house for an investigative stop and harasses the driver until they give consent to search their car or he makes up some sort of reason to PC search every car.
Cop b is actually rewarded quite often in police work and admin see his behavior as him just being a devoted and hard worker. They have become jaded with who they serve and the ethics behind what they do. They take a black and white approach to all crime and dont care who gets caught in the crossfires so long as their purpose was to "serve the law".

I pulled him over, because he had his high beams on. That simple stop led to him getting extradited.
Also, I could care less about weed or drugs in general.
