The kind of person you are you would probably shoot your fellow soldier in the back and defect because you were scared of being shot.

You also have a lot of police officers who arrest people because their boss told them that is how you do good police work. So their motive isnt to better the community or get actually detrimental to society criminals off the street, their motive is job performance. It is something that has disgusted me with this profession, although that isnt the majority and its really the admin who should be fired for that, but taking someones freedom away for the intrinsic value of a pat on the back by your boss is completely morally corrupt even if the person was a criminal.
We have a lot of antiquated thinking still because of these 50+ year olds leading police departments and they were brought up in that same way. Their career was based mostly when there was the "war on drugs" and they were brainwashed into thinking drugs were the epitome of all crimes.

100% agree on the 50 year olds leading PDs who were brought up the same way and just haven't gotten with the current times, but are training their officers and subordinates (LTs and SGTs) to follow their methodology which is completely outdated.

I'm not against investigative stops, or traffic stops in general, but the fishing expeditions cops go on for routine stops need to stop or we're going to lose the ability to perform investigative stops at all - like plenty of PDs already have.
