"D-dimer can predict severe and fatal cases of COVID-19 with moderate accuracy. It also shows high sensitivity but relatively low specificity for detecting COVID-19-related VTE events, indicating that it can be used to screen for patients with venous thromboembolism (VTE)."

What appears difficult to refute is that the shots do not prevent you from being infected with the virus and if this paper holds up as proof that the spike protein created via actions of the shots is damaging then the shots mean that you are exposing yourself to a larger amount of a dangerous substance.

That in a healthy person the vaccine will only marginally spike proteins and that if I wanted an accurate test (D-dimer) I should’ve taken it within three months of my second vaccine, I was a little over three months by the time I made an appointment.
Whereas when someone catches Covid regardless if they are healthy or not they will experience a higher protein spike.
Either way, after a few months to a year that levels out unless it caused a major issue.
I know I’ve said the a million times on the misc. I was vaccinated, so I was my son and my daughter we did not catch Covid during the throes of Delta when every single person around us had it. While caring for my mother-in-law at times I was covered with spit, tears, sweat, vomit, piss. Never caught it, never missed a beat.
I completely acknowledge the fact that these are just my personal anecdotes and almost all of the information I get is straight from my doctor. Who is not some liberal ***got—he is a staunch Republican, anti-mandate, long time retired military doctor. He’s not a shill and he’s not in it to lie to me.
No.

Vaccine-encoded spike proteins are different from one another and from viral spike protein.
Here is an article that details some differences:

This is my first post to misc in like a decade. I went from bodybuilding to studying physical therapy and then getting an MD after that. I've worked in the ER throughout the pandemic and I can tell you that I never had a vaccinated patient with double sided pneumonia during the delta times, however there was plenty of unvaccinated elderly who I saw get it and pass away from it as well. Not to speak of those who survived by had a very rough recovery. It's tragic, really.
Long Covid seems to be real from my own anecdotes. That said I did have one patient who seemingly developed myocarditis from the Moderna vaccine. But then again, I sawseveralyoung healthy males (unvaccinated) who suffered from myocarditis after Covid infection. There are scientific studies supporting this as well - the risk of myocarditis after covid is is 14x higher than from the vaccination itself (https://theconversation.com/myocardi...ination-174580scientific studies found in the article).
So I'm just coming here to tell you that the OP stance is ****ed. Vaccinations might have side effects, but considering how many people got vaccinated world wide it's remarkable how little unwanted effects it has had. At the end of the day people like OP just want to find potential reasons to support their stance for not vaccinating themselves - even though it's basically them just being afraid of a ****ing shot. All this pathetic rambling about the dangerous of "spike proteins". OK. Only person I've seen talk about this in real life was an otherwise schizophrenic middle aged lady.
We all did what we had to do in the pandemic. If you didn't get vaccinated and was well off - good for you. The rest of us just wanted to go back to a normal life quicker, or to protect our weak and loved ones. If you didn't get vaccinated you made an egoistic decision based on you fears. That speaks greatly of the type of person anti-vaxxers are. The rest of us actually took the risk (everyone knew there was some risk involved) in hopes for a better society and for the safety of others.
I'll admit that I was also a vaccine sceptic when I was browsing misc more than 10 years ago. However I was 17-18 at the time, and then I decided to actually educate myself for real, not just fearmonger on forums and try to "do my own research" from basically pure conformational bias. Once you have your MD you see how deluded most people are trying to understand how science works, or how to read and interpret articles that are way above their level of understanding. This or they echo the opinion of a quack youtube physician trying to make a quick buck feeding contrarian / populistic opinions to the uneducated.
Anyways have fun on your high horse thinking the world is a conspiracy while you're ultimately just making selfish decisions based on uneducated fears.
Peace.

you got used by your government and big pharma who care not one fck about you all for a disease which for a healthy person was pretty much close to zero real world risk ................and btw you have no right to claim liability if the vax fcks you up depsite pfizer making $39Billion the most profitable drug in history..........how does it feel to be an NPC?

I thought she meant a spike in protein measured by a D-dimer test since those were the issues I was referring to in my initial post.
A D-dimer test looks for D-dimer in blood. D-dimer is a protein fragment (small piece) that's made when a blood clot dissolves in your body.
