no man no. Your senators have been writing checks for projects generals didn't want. Your in an industrial complex state and now we're completely susceptible to hypersonics.

We can be completely obliterated with no real way to retaliate because our ICBMs can be shot down. There is no more mutually assured destruction.

What's even worse is the defense companies retain a certain amount of engineers for every contract that scales by expense, so when defense companies gouge for useless projects we have tons of engineers sitting around and stalling developmentally.

It's fukking ironic because our defense spending is the best thing that ever happened to our adversaries. We'll legit spend a trillion on a contract and only a tenth of it goes to actual work.

I doubt anything like this would happen, but it's an interesting topic. I find it easier for society to collapse from inflation or shortages. With that said....

-I have food for 4-6 months
-I'd fill my bathtub and plastic containers with water (rentcel)
-I own a diesel truck with a mechanical fuel system. Don't @ me EMP's
-I own two firearms (pistols), with a decent amount of ammunition
-In relatively good shape, workout equipment at home
-plenty of first aid, hygiene aids (shower wipes, toothpaste, can get a composting toilet if need be)

If things get REALLY bad, I'd pack what I could in my truck and camp in the mountains. I have some hunting equipment and water filters, plus ways to have sources of heat, in and out of the truck bed.
