This is a large national force that is well experienced in combat and the resolve to use it. That convoy is staged and has been. It is a logistical platform and will later be part of a larger effort. The most obvious fact and projection of power is that it is able to sit there unmolested. This is and has been a very bad sign and should have been recognized as one very early on. I think most of the Ukrainian soldiers will refuse to retreat or surrender because they've been reassured that they have a chance of outlasting Russia or that NATO will come to their aid. Most of them are going to die. Russia really would not want to bomb Kiev like they have Kharkov due to it's historical importance to them.
