Misc help me decide , new wheels for my truck
https://www.fueloffroad.com/wheel/12...shID=12&lugs=6
I seem to have a hard time finding a wheel that looks good on grey paint . Below are my current wheels .

I’m really liking the straight black version.

I think I prefer them over the grey version that would match my truck below.
Maybe it’s the bolts around the perimeter that throws me off

Or just stay with what I’ve got ? I’ve been tempted to lift my truck 6 inches and get 35” tires , but with the price of gas etc

I think the current ones look fine. I don't like replacing stuff that's not broken or isn't required for a functional improvement (like a wider tire at the same diameter)

2nd set I guess.
Wheels on your truck now are pretty bad. Looks like you wear affliction shirts and jeans with large white thread

I wish the fake bead lock on the perimeter came off for paint , but I’m pretty sure people are painting them .
I love this look , and if they did come off and were only cosmetic,I’d be tempted to paint them red. I have red fx4 on the side , so it may have worked

Methods are more my style. Standards look good on just about anything, preferably in a 17x9.
Also that generation f150 can fit 35s with just a leveling kit.

Used to be able to buy a set for 7/750 and now they’re 3-400 per wheel. Can’t wrap my head around this chit.
Glad the gx already has decent wheels and tires when I bought it lol

These are what I actually wanted in a 22” , but you cannot order them here for some reason . All the good stuff is in the USA .

Wheels in the second pic with the bolts look sick , go for it
Why would you lift your truck 6 inches though ?
Leveling kit max with 33 inch tires on a light duty truck like that
I have a 3” leveling kit on my older super duty but i didn’t even want 35s , I went with 33s
35s are a lot bigger than you’re probably thinking
You’d have to regear for 35s I’d think but newer 1/2 trucks might come regularly with 4:30 + options
35s don’t look oversized on newer trucks but the main thing is clearance
You’d have to lift it up alot and itd have alot of wheel well space which looks weird on 1/2 tons imo

But in reality it would be a dumb idea , and as you mentioned, gearing wouldn’t be great .
This is what kind of made me think of lifting. I like the look , but it’s not practical, plus one day there probably going to get all anal about mud flaps , which make a truck look like chit imo

What's the point of a/t tires with a decent sidewall if he never drives it offroad? Street tires work better for street trucks
