Just so you know, I was a 4.0 student in undergrad, scored in the 97th percentile on the MCAT, volunteered in multiple non profit ( thousands of hours), did and continue to do research in many fields and in prestigious institutions and have first author publication in decent journal just to name a few
To put things into more context, I come from a poor immigrant family and did have to work throughout college unlike most Asians, whites, or even blacks that go to these schools.

Read that there are huge suicide rates as a doctor, due to all the stress. On call, whatever.

Plus all the debt you take on (500k plus)

Seems like a grind, as well as something that if you're not passionate you won't make it through.

I'm looking to get into a competitive speciality, and the name of the school carries weight. But, there's really no big difference between these schools in terms of reputation, except maybe because the program I'm joining in Harvard is competitive and separate from the regular med school. So Harvard is looking like the favorite. If I get a full cost of attendance scholarship at Penn or Columbia I might go there instead

Its insane. My buddy still isn't a real doctor he's doing his fellowship next I think that's the last step. So much work, so much stress, a lot of debt. Considering everything doctors are grossly underpaid

Just to give you some context because you're clearly unaware of things.
The average MCAT of accepted black applicants is like 506 and GPA is like 3.6
For white it's like 512 and GPA is 3.7
I'm clearly way above those metics.
The fact that you're using the old MCAT numbers should already tell me that have no clue of what's going on.
