The Russia conflict should have been another wake up call to not be so reliant on our adversaries. I really hope more people start to realize this.

Probably because we export alot of refined oil and now there is bigger demand in Europe.

An argument against the Keystone pipeline has been the US would just be exporting that refined oil around the world.

Also doesn't help US dollar is weakening and oil was already a powder keg given the current admins reluctance to drill domestically.

Think of the poor Arab Sheiks. They have to buy gold plated cars(1 for every school day of the week) for their kids or they'll be laughed at by the other kids in school for being Plebs.

But if it came to it the production could be directed to in-country demand instead of exporting it right? I bet US production could sustain national needs. Mexico down south and Canada up north have quite a lot of oil too
