Why do people say high school was terrible?

It was probably more fun than college but I couldn’t wait to get out. The grass is always greener I guess

I always hear people saying how bad it was but that wasn’t my experience

"Terrible" is kind of a stretch, but I definitely hated school growing up (pre school and kindergarten were fun, but everything after...). It kind of felt like a prison sentence imo. A bunch of time spent doing shyt you didn't want to and teachers micromanaging you. Also, you're younger and lacking perspective.

HS was the best time of my life by far. College didn't even come close.

Because being popular only matters in high school. If you weren’t popular you probably hated it.

My buds and I had so much degenerate fun at the end of high school. Nobody gave a fuk anymore. The entirety of my last year, I didn't even own a school bag. I'd come to school with a poverty lunch in a plastic grocery bag and the occasional beer my buds and I would shotgun outside at lunch. It was all about pulling pranks, dicking around, shotgunning beers, listening to heavy metal, playing in bands, making bonfires in the woods, drinking every weekend. Definitely the most carefree year of my life.

Really glad I got that schit out of my system and moved on to more productive endeavours in my 20s.

Found an old HS schedule the other day. BRB school ended at fkn 2:10pm. At home by 2:45pm, going to skateboard, eating bagel bites, watching tv, going on the computer and playing Morrowind. Good times.

It is a good question because at least when I went to high school most ladies had not descended into full blown HTC orca status and thus the bathrooms were generally visitable without high frequency encounters with monster mahogany hiney mambas free floating in unflushable pools that the custodian had left in place after hours of aggressive plungering with his coed naked Olympics tshirt pulled up over his nose but then again with culture today you are probably dealing with something entirely different so who the hell knows wow this post was quite a waste of time I suppose

This. Sometimes I wish I dropped out and just got my GED. Now, this may sound like an immature reflection, but I’m ded fkin srs. In our society, a GED is equivalent to that high school diploma, yet the former takes 6 weeks and the latter takes 4 years. If I had worked smarter rather than doing the “right thing” I could have an extra few years of employment under my belt as well as the skills and savings to show for it. I have friends who chose this path. The intelligent ones are further along in life than I am currently.

High school didn’t really teach me chit except how to interact with girls and that could’ve been learned elsewhere.

Overall: College > High School
Final Year: High School > College

College I was more outgoing, and wasn't gaming as much. I'm pretty sure I spent most of my HS years playing video games. However, final year of HS was the GOAT once you realized you were graduating and you just needed to show up to get your diploma.

If I could redo it from my current experience, I think High School > College ten fold.

I was routinely about four hours late for kindergarten. I wasn't a morning person. Same today.

I never knew where to take a ****. I was being raised with a sex offender, so I didn't like ****ting at home. And ****ting at school was never a good idea. So I'd hold it in, feeling like I wanted to barf. The footballers hated "****ing a ****" if I didn't void my bowels. They never actually liked me, they ****ked me because they knew I was vulnerable and could never report any of the ****ed up things they did (like dropping me on my head on the concrete street etc.). Later on I tried to delude myself that anyone ever liked me. What a joke.

The schooling was pretty terrible, felt like a bunch of useless busy work. Socially it was cool.

men didn't all have kids. I miss that. The same dudes who wouldn't have looked twice at me in hs now really like me because they have kids and want someone who doesn't have them. So, the reason for me being rejected is now the reason I'm liked. lol. Does me no good since I have no interest in hopping on the baby/nanny train and wrecking my gainz.
