My city is about 130,000 people now. But it's a college town, and mainly feels smaller than that.

Roughly 70k.....and it's all suburbia. There really isn't a "downtown" or central area. The closest "downtown area"...where you can walk around, grad lunch, hit up some stores, maybe see a concert/show is about 30 minutes away and that city only has about 160k people.

Atlanta is a 1.5 hour drive if we want to get real crazy.

The actual suburban town that I live in is about 2,000. It is part of the Philly metro area, which is about 5m population in total, but I'm an hour from town, so I don't consider myself living in the city at all.

I don't live in a town. Im rural so the "town" I put on letters and such is the name of the closest post office. The area it serves is it's statistical area.

Closest city is just under $500k

I liked the DFW metro better at around 2 million vs. IIRC 7 million plus where we are now. Last I heard apartments are full and there aren't exactly a ton of houses on the market.

My school district has over 35K students but my "city" is under 50K. In the Metroplex cities are smashed together though.

In MI our area was about 100K, but there was still a lot of open land in between places. The closest city roughly the same size [over 100K] was about a half hour drive through woods and fields.
