Military but only sometimes. Other times it sucked.
Did pool lifeguarding too. Most stress free job I've ever had. Brb sit on a chair, put on oakleys and sleep for 8 hours and then leave.

I was a waiter in my mid-20s at a restaurant in the Venetian in Vegas as well as a pretty clubby steakhouse in NYC.
Stressful jobs, but 100k/year + all of the coworkers were models, actresses or just really chill people. I had some wild nights with those crews.
Those days are over, but I will never forget them.

Working at a clothes store srs
Pretty much just worked with my mates, it was in a real quiet strip mall and the company didn't expect much out of us and basically never checked up on us, the manager was a great lad and he hated the company so he encouraged us to basically take the piss as much as possible as long as we at least showed up ans did try to sell if customers did come in.
Looking back on it I think he just wanted friends which is a terrible thing when it comes to being a manager but we did all like him and I would have said he was a friend.
Used to watch series on a laptop behind the counter, go to gym and train during my shift, go to the cinema over the road and watch a film during my shift, got bj's in back room off the assistant manager chick, didn't put cash sales through the till sometimes and kept the cash, smoked in the stock room, stole clothes all the time, I could go on all day baby.

I've worked a few different jobs over the years. Tradie work, forestry, education, worked on a farm for a while, research laboratory and now in the coporate world, working for myself from home most of the time.
It really depends on who you are working with and the people around you, not the work you are doing.

Inland Revenue-some of the nitwits sending in tax returns without using an accountant couldn't even subtract no expenses from profits & come up with the same figure-they suddenly made or lost thousands & you spent a lot of the day laughing at how stupid most people were-especially self employed builders. Casual dress if you weren't out on the counter. Messing around with the lifts when people were getting in them & making them go to the wrong floor. Flexible hours-so you could come in later or knock off early

20-24 I worked at a saltwater aquarium store and did installs and maintenance for people. It was the most relaxed and fun job Ive ever had.
Im now 40 and have a coral growing setup in my basement and sell stuff on the side. In a few more years when I retire ill just screw around doing that again.

A close second is when I worked as a personal trainer for a year when I was young and jacked (srs). I was actually the manager of a personal training company in a gym, and I just did 30-40 hours of the training myself. Now that I think about it, in some ways that almost ties with teaching.

Church camp counselor
All the other counselors were friends of mine so it was just like hanging out all day and going out to eat and going to all these different places everyday. Was a blast. Only made like 50 bucks a week though cause I was only like 14, but didn't care

I was a lacrosse director and assistant hockey director at a rec facility.
Pay wasn't the best, but I got to play in the leagues for free if I wanted which saved me like 200 and I got to run a couple of the programs and stuff for the youth so I got to skate/play lacrosse too.
Hours weren't bad. Probably the most fun year or so I have ever had in life tbh. Not a lot of responsibility outside of the job so I was playing some type of sport almost every night, if not twice a night and going out the other nights.

I like my current job, which is fortunate I guess. part owner (1 of 6) of a 50 person civil engineering consulting firm, and although a PE I run our business development. So i get to be involved in all the projects early on, but don't mess with the details of design any more than 30,000 foot stuff. Play golf, go to happy hours, corporate events, etc....is a really good mix of the things I love about engineering but I don't have to do all the tedious design stuff and get to be sort of the face of the company around town instead.
Only stressful part is when times are lean, everyone is looking at me to keep projects coming in.
