Those asshats ran around for 2 years screaming about people not wearing masks even where not required. Bring them back into society kicking in screaming. It seems like I see more people wanting to keep it because they’re ugly and social outcasts vs a valid health reason. Yes let’s keep mask mandates forever because you have anxiety about your ugly ass face.

yup

cry me a river about being "bullied" by some random when most agree with masking. meanwhile those who chose to be unvaxxed were forced to make a decision between having medical autonomy and being fired from their jobs and had to deal with gaslighting and coercion.

I just moved to a new smaller city for work and basically nothing is required out here. No masks, no testing, still doing a corporate daily covid symptom form for but that's it

Still feels weird af to get up and walk around without wearing a mask. Went bowling last night with no masks, hugged and did group photos with coworkers, feltgoodman

Why would immunocompromised kids wear masks? The masks are there for other people's protection, not the wearer's


But if people want to continue wearing masks they're fully welcome to, it has been a more constant thing in parts of Asia since SARS etc. I personally can't wait to get rid of the masks.

When I was a kid I had to wear leg braces and walk with crutches for 2 years. I don't recall the other parents making their kids wear braces and walk with crutches so I wouldn't feel self-conscious about it.

Kids easily conform. Once more kids take off masks some parents might send their kids to school wearing one but if they see everyone starting to ditch them they’ll come right off. It’ll happen much quicker than with adults.

This. First off there isn't any evidence at all that masks of worked period, let alone in a school setting. People keep saying "the science says" yet I haven't seen "science" or evidence that these measures have been effective.

I anticipate even after the removal of the mandates many schools are going to still enforce this. They'll argue that masks aren't for your own protection but for those around you. Lol, are we in front of people's faces spitting on each other or something? Cloth masks especially aren't meant to be used to prevent transmission of airborne viruses at all. And they wanted to make kids wear N95s which would literally cover the kid's entire face lmao.

while I feel for immunocompromised kids, people have been brainwashed by theatre. Trudeau had 3 shots, probably a mask-cel and still got covid lmao. And there are many such examples. Many health officials have even admitted that you literally can't stop omicron from spreading and eventually everyone is going to get it. There are precautions and tools immunocompromised can take to protect themselves. Having everyone wear masks and society up end itself isn't going to do anything to help them unless you want everyone living in a literal bubble. Why did we never wear masks in flu season because of the one immunocompromised kid?

First time I wore a mask in months was last week when gyms reopened to purebloods. Haven't worn one in the grocery store in forever, nobody cares enough to tell me to put one on, even uniformed cops.

The government lives in a completely different world from everybody else.

My issue is when cases inevitably start to rise again especially after elections in the winter that some governments will reach for masks again because it’s a low hanging fruit. It gives the appearance that they’re trying something and appeases the loudmouths on Twitter demanding masks. Once mandates don’t come back after a rise in cases well truly be done but until then it’s anyones guess when they try to bring them back.

yup, which is why I'm not going to get my hopes up. It took a lot of push back to remove mandates. They can easily introduce vaccine passports and masks the next day, I could definitely see it come winter.
